Also what present are you most excited to give.
Mine is a zip up fur cardigan. I love it so much I have bought a second one, even though it will probably be cheaper in the sales.

My best present Is for my lovely DiL. It is 3 photo blocks photographs of her children which she admired. I asked her if she would like some copies and she said yes. She has probably forgotten. I have added another one of her dad with the eldest. Chatting away like he is 70 rather than his grandad. I often go out with her dad who was left a widower recently and this was taken in a cafe unbeknown to them.

Long thermal socks for myself as my feet seem to be the only part of me that ever feel the cold!

And socks for my Sister, it's just become a thing now that I always get her socks. Chose some decent quality ones with nice designs so I am sure she'll like them. Also can't wait to give my Niece and Nephew their presents as they will be excited but just bits I think they'll enjoy.

@PortiasBiscuit Fabulous! I adore rats but haven't had any for years as can't take the heartbreak of a short lifespan. I still miss my boys; Mulder, Carter, Castiel and Elvis. I can't bring myself to get rid of the cage though just in case.

For myself a flower arranging course.
Really wanted to do this for years so spent a little bit of my bonus on it.
The gift I can't wait to give is for my dd2...it's so silly but I laugh every time I think of it...it's a wooden spoon which has printed on it " what would Jesus stew ?"
In parody of the saying WWJD...
We are atheists so find it funny.
I apologize now if it offends people with faith

You can buy packs of the dough mix too 🙂 It's all on Amazon!

Thank you. I looked up the method so ready made will suit me perfectly.

@Lillixyng @Randomname83738 thanks, she is six! I had a lot of fun making the book and surprisingly quick to put together once the photos were done. Here is Bob the mole with his new friend Ziggy the baby dragon!

That is brilliant. I have decided to do another post on Christmas Day for everyone to give the reactions. My Christmas excitement is going to be increased 10000 fold, by thinking about the families of the Mumsnet community.

@Mishmashs I just had to post to say your book and daughter sound adorable! I imagine she will love her Bob book! That's so nice of you to go to that much effort. I'm sure she'll treasure Bob, the book and his new best friend forever. 🎅

Literally the best present ever

squirrelnutcartel · 20/12/2024 15:51

Enough cat food and litter to keep them going through the holiday period as I always worry about running out. I don't get actual Christmas presents.

wildfellhall · 21/12/2024 13:15

Three Neal's yard things for myself, but for the family to give me!

A photo frame of photos of our kids for DH.

Lillixyng · 25/12/2024 21:56

I have been thinking about this thread and all the lovely posters doing so much for their families. I would love to know the reactions. If I may, would prefer not to read any negative ones as this was such an uplifting thread.

For my part DiL loved her photos. She and her dad are spending childhood together and they are both ill.

A tattoo that I've wanted for 2 years, fab present for myself

Lessstressedhemum · 25/12/2024 23:08

My DS loved his Snorlax Crocs. He was so happy. Ddil will be here on Saturday.

TangerinePlate · 25/12/2024 23:20

Just got myself a freezer 🙂 I know, boring and unexciting however I was eyeing up a freezer for a few months and was waiting for Black Friday deal- never happened.
This morning had a look at Currys and there it is £140 cheaper! So happy as I could really do with one!

Mumteedum · 25/12/2024 23:35

My lovely boy loved his presents and was very excited by Wallace and Gromit top trumps. We were playing it at 9.30 this morning and he hadn't opened more than a couple of presents by then 😆

We watched the new film this evening too. He's just been absolutely golden. I feel very lucky.

Oooh I’m most excited to receive a perfume I chose. It’s a lovely spicy, warm vanilla. Perfect for winter.

I’m really excited to give DH some trainers he’s been admiring for a year but couldn’t afford as they are not necessarily “needed”.

What's the perfume? This sounds gorgeous!
