DustyLee123 · 10/12/2024 06:45

I’m looking for some tasty dairy free chocolate for a present, any ideas?

OP posts:
Sheknowsyouknowaye · 10/12/2024 06:47

Do you mean non dairy milk chocolate? Do you want a box of chocolates?

Alwayshockey · 10/12/2024 06:49

My DC prefer Nomo.

OatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 10/12/2024 06:50

Fetcha Chocolates are my favourite, although you may be too late for stock before Christmas.

Bare bones - Madagascar especially.

Hotel Chocolate do a nice vegan box.

My DC prefer Nomo.

I genuinely dislike nomo as an adult, I feel it tastes artificial. A vegan Kit Kat isn’t bad though.

Pancakeflipper · 10/12/2024 06:56

Vego is enjoyed in our house.
If chocolate creams are your thing - Bramble Foods do them.

Mairzydotes · 10/12/2024 06:58

Booja Booja .

Booja Booja .

I came on to suggest these as well.

They are very decadent and luxurious.

SnowyIcySnow · 10/12/2024 07:05

Cocoa Libre is the go to brand here currently.

It's interesting how tastes vary. DC had to go dairy free from 8 years old and won't eat any of the other brands.

CrepuscularCritter · 10/12/2024 07:17

Booja Booja for boxes of truffles, Vego and Rhythm 108 for bars.

Veeg34 · 10/12/2024 07:18

M&S do a big box of dairy free truffles that are very nice

Username917778 · 10/12/2024 07:19

My children are dairy free and NoMo is their favourite by far.

Such a strange answer 😅 they mean exactly what they said, dairy free.

Nomo for us, especially the cookie dough one!

It's not a strange answer.

The OP could be asking for Dark chocolate which is often dairy free or for milk chocolate made with an alternative type of "milk".

Chococo does milk chocolate made with oat milk which is apparently very good.

Montezuma does nice milk free dark chocolate. I haven't checked what else they do that's vegan.

TinyMouseTheatre · 10/12/2024 07:30

Booja Booja do some lovely boxes.

Seconding rhythm108. The almond butter bar is ridiculously good (super sweet, though). I don't buy it anymore because I end up eating the whole thing in one sitting. ☹️

Pandasnacks · 10/12/2024 07:34

@Kpo58 yeah she could have meant that, but then would have likely said dark chocolate. Dairy free is not hard to understand. Anyway I was having a little laugh at the silly answer, no need for a debate 😁 serious stuff chocolate.

To be fair, if someone had said dairy free I would just have assumed dark chocolate. Although, not all dark chocolate is dairy free.

MrsMoggy · 10/12/2024 07:42

For bars I like Vego, buttermilk (vegan despite the name!) and Nomo.

For boxes I like the Whittakers coffee and mint creams, Catherine’s Originals chocolate selection.

Runskiyoga · 10/12/2024 07:42

The deliciously Ella dipped almonds are nice imo

AbsolCatly · 10/12/2024 07:46

We buy dark chocolate, lidls have some inexpensive and nice bars, just have to check the ingredients. Or when I want something decadent then the independent chocolatier shop for some treats. Worth looking at small businesses as we also have one locally that does dairy free fudge that is delicious. She does sell online as well but may be sold out this close the Christmas.

kikisparks · 10/12/2024 07:49

For a really decadent box of chocolates Kakoa is amazing.

AlteredStater · 10/12/2024 07:55

Ombar is really nice. Larger and smaller bars.

mitogoshigg · 10/12/2024 08:02

Lidl own brand dairy free "milk" chocolate or many different dark chocolates in their range

FutureFry · 10/12/2024 08:04

IMO the best allergy safe (free from) choc is Nomo, and Booja Booja is the best vegan (may contain)
