How beefy is your kitchen?

Relatively new kitchen. Hob beeps, microwave beeps cheerily, ovens beep...'I'm hot, I'm getting warmer, I've stopped!, then there's the dishwasher.....ffs.

More chickeny, to be honest.

My old fridge never beeped and I never found it lying open. New fridge beeps if you leave it open about twice a day.

Fridge beeps after about 10 bloody seconds- it's a nightmare cleaning it out. Washing machine plays a bloody tune for about 30 seconds. Hob beeps if you get a splash of water near the controls so I feel your pain op 😆😆

That's a lot of noise pollution from attention- seeking appliances!
The only things in my kitchen that communicate by beeps and dings are the mic and my phone🙆

My last dryer had 5 different buttons you had to press to operate and every one had a high pitched beep. I hated it especially if I accidently leant on it and had to do It all over again.
Also the car is an annoying noisy bossy bastard.

Dp has a gadget which beeps when a plant needs watering I thought it was the fridge next to plant. And I was late to work because I couldn't get the fridge to stop beeping and I didn't want food to spoil

Airfryer and microwave also like to beep on occasion

Washing machine doesn't beep but thinks it's in the London Philamonic Orchestra at the proms with the tunes it plays. The app lets you choose what tune to play

Mine, unfortunately, has quite a doggy whiff about it thanks to Dh being too lazy to ever wash the bloody dog bed.

To answer your question, no, not too beepy (beefy). But our appliances are shit so maybe they beep less. The coffee machine is the only thing that I feel beeps excessively. But it also provides me with coffee, so I can forgive it its beefiness. 😂

Kitchen isn't nearly as bad as my new car which never shuts up! One thing that annoys me is that fridge and freezer beep if their doors are open - which as I have eyes I can see - but they don't beep if they are slightly ajar which I might not notice.

Yes, what a stupid feature. Surely the beep should be linked to temperature or something useful like that so you know when it might be a problem. Not just when it’s wide open,

Fridge is the only beeper around here. If you search hard enough most can be disabled - noise gives me the rage so it’s the first thing I Google about a new appliance

I have a very chirpy washing machine. I'd normally do an immediate search for how to shut a noisy appliance up, but it sounds so cheerful I haven't had the heart.

Not at all but I stayed at a friend’s house this summer where the washing machine kept playing the Trout Quintet at unexpected hours.

Yeah, plenty of beeps, but the only one I reply to is the oven. I get a compulsion to repeat the beep bop boop when it's switched on or off

The bloody induction hob…you can tell if someone is cleaning it because it starts shouting then whoever is in the kitchen mutters “oh shut up.”

Our lovely dishwasher doesn’t beep, but just pops its door open to let the steam out when it has finished. Frightened me the first time to see steam billowing out of it, but I love it.

Our washing machine and tumble dryer beep a bit but I don’t mind because DD likes to spin the dials and I can hear when she’s mucked about with it. We stayed in a holiday home where the dryer played a little tune every time she pressed a button and it drove me bonkers.
