Unknown music artists that everyone must listen to

I'm bored of my Spotify playlist and need something new to listen to who isn't a mainstream artist. I turn to Mumsnet wisdom to recommend me music from any genre.

Kenya Vaun - only 21 years old, but has the potential to be huge. R n B/soul . Superb singer - very classy , and cool.

Pearl Charles (Only for Tonight) was on Richard Osman's Desert island discs. Brilliant song, brilliant voice. I've listened to a lot of her music since and it's wonderful.

(Confused) I thought they suggested similar artists? That's how I got into an artist (cannot remember name and he had several!). After playing Nick Cave songs I came across an Alternative country guy (I normally loathe country music (except Queen Dolly of course!). But he even sounded like Nick Cave and I enjoyed the music.
