Have you bought a bra this year?

Just that really.

I haven't. Wondered if that is the norm. I find the good ones too expensive and I don't really know my size any more, so just choose Medium.

How often do you buy a new everyday bra?

You bought “medium”. Yeah, righto you’re a woman 🙄

Hmmm, I wondered about this too

DownWhichOfLate · 02/12/2024 22:12

OP seems to have gathered enough titillation and won’t be returning

HaddyAbrams · 02/12/2024 22:13

@DelilahBucket
having at least a 36 back for anything bigger than a D cup isn't right either

What do you mean?

😂😂😂
I'm assuming you have big boob privilege 😂

Not sure I'd call it a privilege. Decent bra @ £35 minimum. I've had to buy three sports bras and three regular ones so far this year and two swim suits. Not much change from £300.

stressedtothemaxdotcom · 02/12/2024 22:16

I buy the Tesco pull on bra things in a medium. Can't be doing with proper bras these days.

Yep one for each boob!

creamsnugjumper · 02/12/2024 22:21

So are we going with this being a man.

TotallyTwisted · 02/12/2024 22:22

Yes, I've bought 3. But prior to that I hadn't bought a bra since 2019!

Edited to say, damn should have read the full thread! Bloody hairy handed men.

cherrysodas · 02/12/2024 22:31

Yes, I bought a new bra this year. I wish I hadn’t. It caused me no end of embarrassment. I somehow managed to get the hanger caught on the back of my coat and went to the nursery to collect the little one. It had the cardboard bit on the hanger too with the size in big letters and a picture of the bra. Mortified.

EveryDayisFriday · 02/12/2024 22:33

Lol at bras being even slightly exciting. They are nothing but a pain in the chest.

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 02/12/2024 22:33

Get measured at MnS and buy good bras ... particularly on the vou are on the voluptuous side .... dd plus x

unmemorableusername · 02/12/2024 22:34

You are supposed to replace your bras every 3 months. They lose their elasticity very quickly. You should have a proper fitting once a year.

Isitfridayyetsophie · 02/12/2024 22:35

Oops shouldn’t have answered this

SaidItFromMyCoffin · 02/12/2024 22:37

Brought a few from Lemonade Dolls, I keep wanting new colours.

Livinginaclock · 02/12/2024 22:37

Yes. Several.

PattyDuckface · 02/12/2024 22:39

I'm definitely a woman. I use sports bras mainly and they are often in s,m,l etc.

Also the stretchy ones that have no clasps - I started wearing them after kids- they are also in s,m,l

I used to be a 36b, no idea what I am now

At £40 each ... I think not. And the elastic doesn't give at all. I hand wash my bras too. They last forever.

PattyDuckface · 02/12/2024 21:54

Yes deffo. Support is from elastic and it doesn’t last forever. I have a few bra names/models I buy and when I buy a new one you can really tell the difference. Mine last about 2 years max (G cup)

ClarityClankrantt · 02/12/2024 22:48

I bought a 3 pack from M & S about 6 weeks ago. Before that, about 9 years ago.

Just what I was thinking.
Until I did an AS.

LifeisNOTlikeemmerdalefarm · 02/12/2024 22:51

After breast cancer I went to a small shop in York while on a small holiday and had a proper fitting.
Bought 3 black, white and flesh.
Black and the white ones are still very comfy the flesh seems as though the straps get loose even after I move it tighter.
£45 each.

PattyDuckface · 02/12/2024 22:52

Why?
Some bra types are sized that way, like these

Really? I wash mine in the machine, pay about £15 for two and a few are older than my adult son.
