What's on top of your tree?

Think it is time for a new tree topper.

So, what should I go for?

Star?
Angel?
Bow?
Something else?

I'd love to hear what is on top of your tree to help me make this life-changing decision!

A star but I think we'll need a new one this year. Haven't got the stuff down from the attic yet.

Nothing. I've never found anything I like so following with interest!

We have a realistic looking fake robin. Every year.

We have a star that lights up. It sounds tacky, but it’s not, it has a lovely warm glow.

Dh and I bought a beautiful china angel for our tree the first year we lived together. She will on the top of the tree again this year and still looks as good after 30 years as she was when we bought her.
We've had many different trees and decorations, but putting our angel out brings back the memories.

A toilet roll angel made by the 2 dds about 18 years ago, with photos of their faces on top. They used to alternate which face was at the front each year until ds came along and now his face is in the middle 😂 it’s in terrible condition now but we love our battered decrepit old angel and wouldn’t change it for anything more tasteful in a million years!

We have an angel that gets fought over every year as to who gets to put it on the top! We've always had her and I don't think she is getting replaced any time soon.

I’ve just finished my Angel she was looking rather tired so needed a new dress and wings

An Angel my now 40 year old daughter bought when age 5 from her first ever pound shop experience with her own pound.
I've fixed her a few times and added extra sequences and beads etc.

Angel and we alternate between a white one and a red one. Growing up I either made one for the tree or one of the bigger ornaments was up there.
I think either angel or star., bows are ok as decorations but not as a topper unless big and more ornate.
Unadorned just makes it look unfinished.

On my now husband and Is first Christmas together we decorated a little real Christmas tree at his flat and realised we didn’t have anything to put on top of it so cut a star out of a cereal box, wrapped it in foil and used glitter glue to decorate it.

We’ve been together a long time now and every Christmas we put the same star on top of the tree. Every year I say it will be the last because I’m terrified of it breaking but I just can’t retire it just yet. Maybe this Christmas will be the last though! We obviously have to keep it but I can’t think what to do with it. Possibly frame it or something.

I've seen lots of bows lately - quite like those.

There's something lovely about an angel.

The robin, china Angel and bog roll all sound wonderful (in different ways!). I'm more conflicted than ever!

On a side note - how do I reply to people on the app?

We have a star, but also an angel that sits just underneath.

I have a bear who looks like he's putting a star on the top, I think he was from John Lewis and I love him :-)
