£120k plus bonus in financial services. 10 years experience.

Can i ask what you do? I'm thinking of well-paid routes to take in Financial Services

isthatmyage · 26/11/2024 21:31

That’s well under min wage full time is just under £24k now. Unless the £18k is because your not on 37-40hours?

It’ll probably be term time only and school hours so part time.

Littleme2023 · 26/11/2024 21:31

howshouldibehave · 26/11/2024 21:14

I would imagine it’s 8.45-3.15 or similar?

Plus it’ll be term time only.

toddlermom1 · 26/11/2024 21:32

pjparty · 26/11/2024 21:09

105k + around 40k annual bonus
Financial services, 13 years experience
Feel it's crazy money compared to the norm so hate arguing for more but there is still very much a gender pay gap.

Can I ask what work you do in financial services

penelopelondon · 26/11/2024 21:32

Self employed massage therapist 50k.

shuggles · 26/11/2024 21:32

summerlovingvibes · 26/11/2024 20:44

Senior respiratory specialist nurse. 42k full time equivalent. A few extra bits and bobs here and there. I have a degree and 2 post graduate diplomas in my specialist field. MUG springs to mind now I'm thinking about it!

Hardly a mug. That is a good FTE salary and if you are employed by the NHS, apparently the pension and extra perks are good.

While many on mumsnet report eye-watering whopping salaries, keep in mind there are also people who are not doing nearly as well with similar expertise. I have seen job adverts for STEM-jobs which advertise PhD as a requirement but only pay £25k.

wobblyweewoman · 26/11/2024 21:33

Are these figures before tax?

IUseThisNameToTalkAboutMoney · 26/11/2024 21:33

Air Traffic Controller - £90k plus dependent on shift pattern.

Wow, officially the coolest person on mn.

pjparty · 26/11/2024 21:35

@toddlermom1 I'm in risk management, my role is non specialised and is a bit project management like/ generic business management in nature. Lots of flexibility but can also be quite stressful as rely on other people.

Definately lots of routes into financial services if it's what you want to do!

auberginepeel · 26/11/2024 21:37

Air Traffic Controller - £90k plus dependent on shift pattern.

Interesting, is it as stressful as they say?

OldKingCole · 26/11/2024 21:37

Civil servant, 5 years, £72k.

What actually is a civil servant?
Whenever I see the job description of civil servant, I never know what it means.
What does a civil servant do? What is your actual job title and role?

GameOfJones · 26/11/2024 21:39

HR Advisor - £45k

TheBeesKnee · 26/11/2024 21:39

Audit, £43k in London. Feel scammed and need to move tbh.

@pjparty are you hiring? 👀 I'm the risk champion in my team and it fits very well with my extremely anxious personality LOL

YourBusyTurtle · 26/11/2024 21:39

Can I just ask those of you earning over £70k what do you do with your £? I just can’t fathom having that amount of disposable income!

20+ years experience in publishing. Head of Publicity. £48k full time. Small company but this is pretty standard in the industry. No perks eg bonus or health care. Bog standard pension.

I should have gone into law when I had the chance. I graduated with a top first from Oxbridge. But I like books. Idiot.
