As in, having had a drink or more? DH has cooked jacket potatoes and opened a bottle of fizz, mixed it up with orange juice. Also did some vodka with orange juice Grin He's now in front of the TV and I'm still in the kitchen eating and feeling very tipsy 🥂

Cheers 🥂

No because MIL didn’t read the label. But am drinking some surprising acceptable alcohol free fizz…

Ooh, interested to know which brand? Every one I try just tastes like Shloer.

My daughter is really helpful.
My wife might be annoying but it does not stop me loving her or thinking that she is the most wonderful and beautiful girl in the world

You must be a saint, enjoy your wine🥂

I can honestly say I've never pissed in the kitchen (check your title 😁)

I have, however, been pissed in the kitchen, dining room, living room and bedroom. Does that count? 😂

You really haven't heard the term pissed meaning drunk ?

thecrispfiend · 22/11/2024 22:15

It’s a grammar thing. “Pissed in the kitchen” means you pissed in the kitchen ..”I am pissed in the kitchen” means Im drunk in the kitchen.

Unless you are American of course

GameOfJones · 22/11/2024 22:23

The thread title says "anyone else pissed in the kitchen tonight?" Grammatically that could mean has anyone else pissed in the kitchen but it equally (and obviously) could mean "is anyone else pissed in the kitchen". I just think people's reading comprehension is getting worse.

Itsmeamandaberry · 22/11/2024 22:27

@Sidebeforeself no I'm not American I'm Scottish and it's a totally normal term here.

I hope my marriage is as strong as yours when I’m older. Thinking of you and your wife today. So glad you have a lovely daughter. If you need more help down the line, there is a lot of it out there when the time is right.

My dad’s in his late 70s and has been my mum’s sole carer for a while, and it’s got to the point where he can’t do it alone any more. It built up to a crisis and now he’s finally let more help in, they’re both relieved. He hasn’t let her down, which is what he used to fear.

He did his very best for as long as he could, and now they’re just moving into a new phase and she knows he loves her just as much and actually feels more secure because he is less stressed. Take care x

Thomson & Scott. She’s not entirely sure where she bought it but on balance of probabilities it was waitrose.
