I am currently buying this, which is nice. What do you have in your bathrooms or sinks? (I have one by the kitchen sink as well)

Pure Liquid Soap of Marseille - Verbena Lemon – EcoBeauty

I love this but it's expensive so I don't buy it although I did buy some once from a hotel we stayed at that had it in the bathroom

100 Acres | Luxury Natural Botanical Hand Wash Liquid Soap

When we were trying to sell our house I had this in every bathroom which is ridiculously expensive and so when it ran out I didn't replace it

Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash | Aesop UK

You? I am aware that this is a very trivial subject but it's Friday afternoon and I've had enough of work!

Waitrose yuzu and ginger in the downstairs loo (might have been discontinued but I have a stockpile!).

Nesti Dante pomegranate and cassis bar on the sink in the bathroom. I change this often - sometimes something from L'Occitane. I'll probably have the Nesti Dante fig and almond milk when it gets colder as I find it helps with dry hands.

Palmolive antibacterial (the red one) in the kitchen. You can buy a refill for 75 cents here.

I change them often (except the kitchen) because I like variety!

@Shinyandnew1 I agree, it's lovely! And was recommended on here!

Petit Marsellais Liquid in the kitchen, and their bars in the shower (brought back lots from France , when it runs out I will probably get L’Occitane if feeling flush, otherwise Savon Marseillais). L’Occitane Liquid Lavender or Rose for my basin.

Eraserbread · 15/11/2024 17:40

Savon de Marseille bar soap. Either opium or sandalwood. Has the best lasting power for me in terms of scent, and...well it just lasts a really long time too.

MogTheSillyCat · 15/11/2024 17:41

Method foam hand wash in kitchen and bathroom
Imperial Leather bar soap in bathroom too.

Ponderingwindow · 15/11/2024 17:45

Vanicream liquid cleanser

i buy the big refill bottle and dilute it so it works in a foaming hand soap pump.

Pears soap but I'm boring

I adore Pears soap - reminds me of my Nanna - I also love Dove and Imperial Leather

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 15/11/2024 17:48

I have two because some days I prefer bar soap (it also gets foundation off my hands better). I have Baylis and Harding Goodness Oud and Cedarwood and bar of handmade soap from India it smells absolutely divine (I have 2 bars left before I have to go hunting or on a holiday to India).

In the kitchen I use Method

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 15/11/2024 17:54

Bar soap in the bathrooms - Nesti Dante, or similar fancily-packaged bars from TKMaxx (sometimes they have L'Occitane ones). I tend to use a liquid hand-wash pump in the kitchen as it feels a bit more hygienic when you've been handling raw meat etc. I really like the smell of Pears hand-wash (more than the bar).

smallsilvercloud · 15/11/2024 17:54

Sainsbury's Bergamot and Orange Blossom luxury soap, highly recommended, not too strong, it lasts for ages and keeps you feeling fresh. I use it in shower rather than hand soap.

There’s a notable French soap mafia on here.

But I was in a hotel last year where they had Molton Brown triple milled milk soap in the room. That was both plain and luxurious and classic. V pleasant

DH has the blue Pears, I have the green.

Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin. Expensive but lasts forever.

Marks and Spencer liquid soap in the downstairs loo.

I flip between the Calm and Restore ranges from M and S.

Lovely woody herbal smell, not expensive, and you can get refill pouches to cut down on the plastics.

I usually buy the body wash as it’s £8.50 for a much bigger bottle than the £6 hand wash. I use it as hand wash and I can’t see what’s different between them!

I love the restore range - I use the burner oil, the candles and have the fragrance sticks.... ironically not the soap as I had a load of Kankan I am still using. good tip about the body wash ;-)

l'occitane is my fave but only for flush times.

purplecorkheart · 15/11/2024 18:18

The liquid soap that my local refill store stocks. It smells very lemony which I like and is relatively cheap when I look at the prices of other liquid soaps in supermarkets. I had bar soap. I think it relates back to the horrible bar soap we had to use in Primary School.

MainStreetOrHighStreet · 15/11/2024 18:25

People who are bar soap users, can you recommend something that is palm oil free and also doesn’t leave a slippery film on the skin? I love the smell of Faith In Nature but it doesn’t seem to wash off fully.

HundredMilesAnHour · 15/11/2024 18:33

I got fed up with Aesop after it became so ubiquitous (and prices went through the roof). I was then using Haeckels handwash (the collab with Watchouse coffee) but I've moved on to Gloved in Soft Nude which I am totally in love with!! My hands feel so much softer and the scent is subtle but lovely. I get the refills every few months. I'm also in love with the Gloved hand cream. Wonderful stuff!

SleepyTraveller · 15/11/2024 18:45

Faith in Nature bar soap. There are a few places round here that sell it not boxed, so no packaging at all. Haven't noticed any issue with it not rinsing off

Davros · 15/11/2024 18:45

The English Soap Company. Bars, various fragrances

Greatandsmall · 15/11/2024 18:47

Bars of soap. They last forever! Cheaper and plastic free.

Hotafternoon · 15/11/2024 18:53

Faith in Nature, Rose, smells fab but I can't use it due to awful dermatitis so I use Double Base handwash.

AutumnLeaves1990 · 15/11/2024 19:03

Bath and body works foaming hand wash in various scents.

APurpleSquirrel · 15/11/2024 19:10

I have various ones & change all the time.
In the cloakroom we have a Cussons liquid soap Bee Happy for guests/kids & a bar soap I made scented with pine, frankincense & lemongrass.
The family bathroom has Dove soap but that's nearly used so will pick another.
I'm the en-suite I have two bar soaps on the go - one is Goats Milk, Oats & Honey by Boo Cottage Botanicals & The Witch's Garden bar soap by the Hedgewitch Soapery.
