How is your Friday treating you?

How is everybody's day treating them? Are you doing anything interesting or much?
I am waiting in hospital at the moment and so bored!

Feeling very sad. I recently found out I have an advanced form of blood cancer, and was sent for fertility tests with the hope I could have my eggs frozen. They said today it isn't viable, due to the rapid downturn in my condition this week and my low AMH levels. I feel sad my DD will likely never have a sibling. One of the chemo regimes they are considering for me will make me permanently infertile. It just feels like the door was closed on the possibility today.

I am very sorry to those of you having a tough time, please be gentle with yourselves.

I'm counting down the minutes at work to be honest! DH is away with his work so it'll just be DDs and I tonight. I've bought some snacks and we'll curl up on the sofa together and watch Children in Need. I'll probably have a glass of wine too. I'm looking forward to it.

Picked up keys to our new home, been to pick some paint and decorating supplies and been to the tip. Looking forward to a chippy tea

Today has been busy. We've both been WFH but had all sorts of deliveries for the extension DH is building on the greenhouse/summerhouse. I shouldn't complain though, it's going to be worth it! We've just got back from a dog walk with the kids, and my sister is coming around to watch them for a wee bit while DH and I go fencing.

We picked up some new boardgames so going to play them and scoff pizza all together tonight. I popped to the cheese shop this morning and got a "surprise" basket of cheese, so they'll be interesting pizza haha! DH's hip/leg injury is playing up so fencing might not be the best of plans, but he's insistent as there's a tournament coming up. Pizza will be nice and easy if he's sore.

Had my art class (hobby) this morning and just I was about to leave got a message from my dsis saying she couldn't get a reply from my elderly parents who are quite infirm. Got to art class and got hold of my dm before I went in which was a relief, off loaded at the class about the stress of elderly parents but everyone then proceeded to talk about illnesses people they know were suffering so that made me feel more angst ridden unfortunately.

Looks like a problem with our boiler, which was just fixed, might have happened again.

On a healthy eating day (fast 5:2) and feeling tired, hungry and cold. Healthy eating is not what I'm after!

Coming home and reading these posts gives me some perspective. Sorry to everyone having a hard time. Hope those awaiting operations, hospital appointments that everything goes smoothly.

On the plus side, I've had a painful in growing finger nail for the past few days and ds just gave me his 5 star ⭐️ treatment for it and the relief is great! What a lovely boy! (Young man really)

Not bad overall DP is taking me out for a toby carvery so i dont need to cook tonight not snobby love a toby

Home from hospital now with my new pyjamas and a takeaway on its way.

@MessyNeate I LOVE it! I have heard good things about the Toyota hybrid. And you can't beat heated seats and auto everything!
