How is everybody's day treating them? Are you doing anything interesting or much?
I am waiting in hospital at the moment and so bored!

I'm feeling a bit down today. I'm at the end of my pregnancy and I don't know why but the waiting around for baby to arrive is so mentally challenging for me.

CalicoPusscat · 15/11/2024 13:24

@MozartsMothballs sorry about your mum. Best with stopping smoking 🌺

MessyNeate · 15/11/2024 13:25

@AllTheAll

A Toyota CHR hybrid.

It's black. Pretty and shiny! And has heated seats and a button on the remote to open the boot. That's what sold it to me Grin

Mum died two weeks ago. Build up of cholesterol.

Trying to make something positive out it, I've just signed up for Allen Carr's smoking cessation seminar. After 37 years of smoking, I actually want to give up.

Sorry about your mum Flowers

DH lost his father three years ago to COPD and he quit smoking that day and didn't look back

How long have you got left. You'll soon have your squishy new baby in your arms hopefully

I always think they look like a shoe(trainer). I've got an ancient Yaris

I'm wading through amendments on the second case study of my diploma, and questioning my life choices.
I thought I'd grown up a bit, but no, I still have a near pathological hatred of being assessed.

Singleandproud · 15/11/2024 13:31

I WFH and manage my own hours, I find that I'm much more productive at work after lunch so got the shopping done this morning and put away, slow cooker on, dark and light uniform washed. Took a longer lunch to get the ironing done. DD is a teen so I'll have a quick tea break when she walks into catch up on the day then leave her in peace whilst I finish work later tonight but that doesn't matter as all the other jobs are done.

Cosycover · 15/11/2024 13:31

Bored out my tits sitting at work. Can't find motivation today. I WFH too so even worse. I've been staring out the window for an hour.

troppibambini6 · 15/11/2024 13:35

Sorry to hear your waiting in hospital op that doesn't sound fun!
Hopefully not too much longer.

I'm sat finishing my lunch. I've been to my sons assembly this morning, to the super market to get the food for other ds party tomorrow, picked up a prescription for my mum from the hospital which was such a pain for parking! and had a bit of a tidy round ready for what will be a very busy weekend.

I need to do some ironing but I'm not feeling it as I'm shattered after a night of dh and hos snoring.

He's going in the spare room tonight and I'm excited for a full nights sleep.

Only 3 days until my due date. But I went two weeks over with my first. I know she'll be here soon and I'm really excited to me her, but it's the unknown that I struggle with, birth feels so out of my control!

I know they are only being 'friendly' but why do certain people in hospitals think they need to treat you like children "my sweet" no Trevor my name is Zoe or Mrs Green I do not need to be infantilised to my sweet and I can hear you no need to shout.
Sorry feeling very crabby now!!

I hate that particularly when it comes with a head tilt.

I am here feeling bad. Someone I barely know asked can they borrow money from me and I said no.

shellyleppard · 15/11/2024 14:02

@JMAngel1 sounds like a fantastic day.... happy birthday to your daughter 🎉 🎈

That's so awkward
I felt a (kind of) friend was building upto that the other week and it made me feel awful!
Been there and it changed the dynamic, never again.

Being called by preferred name is a Marker of Care Quality. That is, it shouldn’t just not be “dearie” it should not be Mrs X if you prefer Annie, or vice versa

Renamed · 15/11/2024 14:46

Just read through thread, sorry and Flowers to those dealing with health problems and grief

Exactly!!
Just the condescending voice to go with it too.
Wouldn't normally bother me I'd just be a bit ill inside but when in pain!

Hope you'll be OK OP, and anyone else having a bad time.

Busy time at work, but now on 1.5 day weekend. Been to look at bathroom tiles, currently having a latte in Cafe Nero. Need to return some things for my Mum, then collect an order from Next, really hoping the jeans fit as they're nicely different from my usual. Dragging DH and his mate out of pub, and taking home. Mate's partner will join us later for a takeaway and games, so a busy afternoon/evening.

BangFlash · 15/11/2024 14:56

I'm off in Fridays so usually do a morning of housework or errands then meet a friend for coffee, go to the cinema, go for a nice walk, etc.

I'm in peri and my period has been late for the first time. I am glad I can stop worrying I am pregnant(!) but feeling extra crap so I'm lying in bed watching TV and eating biscuits in a disaster of a house.

There are no consequences other than mild anxiety that it is more to shoehorn into the weekend.

Hope you get your treatment soon OP.

Hedjwitch · 15/11/2024 14:56

In bed with fibro flare after delivering black tie awards ceremony for work last night. Exhausted.
