The dog woke me for the 5th time tonight. Normally she's a good sleeper but tonight she wants to be in the garden..

Because there's a hedgehog out there and I'm so mean I won't let her go and play woth it

Dog related as well. Some kind of wildlife under our decking keeping our JRT outside…not yapping just scraping .
@listsandbudgets I have never seen a real life hedgehog ..so lucky .

Hope its not a rat.. shudder

D&V since 4pm Friday. I’d better have lost at least a stone after all this agony 😭

Having had plenty of D&V in my time so you have my sympathy.
One thing I've learnt is the pile ointment is excellent for rear end.
😉

Zoflorabore · 28/10/2024 03:38

I’m in terrible pain. I have fibromyalgia and other health conditions and my legs are so painful, this is everyday for me but I’m getting over some sort of flu/virus/plague that I’ve had for 3 weeks and it’s been so bad. Also I’ve got a broken tooth and the toothache is horrific. Just can’t cope!

solidarity to everyone else up who doesn’t want to be.

DeltaFlyer · 28/10/2024 03:40

I'm on the East coast - Bridlington area. It's up on cliffs so often a bit windy but this is something else tonight. Every big gust I can feel it rocking - not relaxing!

Wouldn't feel as bad in a house - noise travels weird in a caravan.

DH also says it's relaxing and him and DC sleeping through.

Dying down a bit now thankfully

Mamma152 · 28/10/2024 03:43

My 7yo child calling for me. He settled very quickly but now I'm wide awake.

Also pregnant and looking forwards to doing this in a few months several times a night. 😅

HEIHEI23 · 28/10/2024 03:53

Our newborn has decided tonight to add to all our washing pile. I’m on my 5th pyjama top and he’s on his 4th onesie 🙈 just settled him down after a feed and now I’m pumping. Wishing we had hedgehogs in our garden but we just get next doors cat that sets off the security lighting 😂

Browniesandcustard · 28/10/2024 03:56

@DeltaFlyer it’s been really windy here too (Midlands) and I then remembered I’d forgotten to bring the airer in from the garden so that’ll have fallen over and need the clothes re washing 😭

Browniesandcustard · 28/10/2024 03:56

@BringBackTeletext hope things settle down soon for you

purplebeansprouts · 28/10/2024 03:56

Coughing

TheOnlyMrsW · 28/10/2024 03:57

Spicy food for dinner earlier, thought it was early enough but woke just before 2 and now can't go back to sleep. DH is snoring next to me, do infuriating!

WiddlinDiddlin · 28/10/2024 03:58

I have Ehlers Danlos, spinal issues, heart issues... due to pain and meds I can only sleep in bed for a few hours, then I have to get up and if I get up too early then I need a nap at the wrong time and so on... this is a pain, particularly if I have an 8 hour shift at work I can't go for a nap!

So I am up til this hour then bed til around 11/12, then up, which if I am working 2-10 is fine, then nap after tea then up til this hour again.

Probably horribly unhealthy but it's the best way for me!

Browniesandcustard · 28/10/2024 03:58

Sending a virtual fist bump to everyone who’s awake … I’m giving in and getting up to do a bit of packing 😳

Different time zone, it's morning Grin

Also different time zone. But it’s still the evening here!

User345649 · 28/10/2024 04:00

Itchy ears and cramps.

Notmanyleftnow · 28/10/2024 04:01

Sorry to all those who have difficult/sad reasons for being awake.
Mine's just a stupidly sore throat.

NewmummyJ · 28/10/2024 04:02

Poorly baby, had to go to hospital last night but was discharged with advice to closely monitor baby. He's woken up wheezy and finding it hard to breathe again so seeing if he will feed, givong calpol etc

LegoHouse274 · 28/10/2024 04:10

Breastfed newborn

Zanatdy · 28/10/2024 04:17

Second night in a row awake at this time. My sleep is terrible these days. Not sure if age related, peri? I work a lot of hours so find it hard to switch off, have had weekend off and have relaxed, long walks etc. But still awake half the night. Dog fast asleep next to me!

Brandnewskytohangyourstarsupon · 28/10/2024 04:25

Meno bastard pause.

The insomnia is crushing, relentless, debilitating and has been going on for 3 years with no end in sight.

Not everyone suffers with it, you guys with your chronic health conditions I so hope that when your time comes, it doesn’t feature in your symptoms because this on top of your daily (&nightly) struggles will be fucking horrific.

HRT not helping at all.

blindasaba51981 · 28/10/2024 04:27

The last few years I have woken about 4am every morning. Seems to be my normal body clock now. Just turned the laptop on to do some work, stressful week coming at work this week 😫

itsgettingweird · 28/10/2024 04:30

K0OLA1D · 28/10/2024 02:37

Mine is dog related too! He's eaten the cats food. It always gives him a bad belly. So I knew it was coming because he ate the kittens when my back was turned 😐

Despite it being 4.30am and always being up at 4am I read that as your dog ate the kittens 🫣🤦‍♀️😂

I am not sleeping properly atm anyway. I've been suffering cluster headaches for a few months and during a cluster round I cannot stay asleep for longer than an hour before and afterwards. I wake up and feel I've been asleep for hours and clock can still start with the same number 🤔

TerrorAustralis · 28/10/2024 04:36

Different time zone – it’s lunchtime here.

@Brandnewskytohangyourstarsupon have you tried adjusting your progesterone dose? I found on 100mg I still couldn’t sleep and on 200mg I couldn’t wake up. So I get 150mg from a compounding pharmacy. Life changing!

AChickenPooAndABiscuit · 28/10/2024 04:37

Up since 3.30am here. Also dog related! Clocks going back yesterday confused her meal times and toilet times lol. Fortunately I’m usually awake by 4.30 anyway so I’m downstairs with a cuppa and she’s now asleep in her bed having been outside like a good girl.

Brandnewskytohangyourstarsupon · 28/10/2024 04:40

Thanks Terror. It appears that there is one size fits all with HRT.
i will go back to my menopause specialist nurse to discuss because I am facing losing my job, my husband, my mind if I don’t get the help I need.

Meno specialist nurse is a bit shit quite honestly.

I feel so utterly defeated and worn down by it.
