Struggling to think of an actor I would cast rather than the dark haired chap that is playing him in Rivals, but maybe that's the point - he is sooo perfect his likeness doesn't exist

Harry Cobden if he ever decided to change career (he's a jockey not an actor for anyone that hasn't heard of him). He would be perfect, especially to play RCB in his showjumping days!

Agree that Declan is much better looking than RBC. I never really found him attractive in Poldark but really like him in this.

RBS doesn't need to be bulky, more lean muscle than anything else. I think AH's build is fine for the role, it's just his face. It looks like someone drew a characature that came to life...

I always saw RCB as very aristocratic-looking and am definitely with who suggested Marcus Gilbert was a good bit of casting in the 90s. I think a younger Oliver Chris (sans bad wig) would have worked.

I went to uni with a guy who was a teenage, blonde Daniel Cleaver to a tee. Including the charming yet evil personality. An Etonian. God I fancied the utter pants off him and he really made you feel like you had a chance.
