How’s Your Friday Night Shaping Up So Far?

I’m feeling distinctly under the weather - got some sort of low level virus which just isn’t shifting. It’s been so dull & miserable today which really isn’t helping! Got a nice easy tea of fishfingers, chips & beans. We’ll watch Corrie & I might catch up with last night’s All Creatures Great & Small.

Had a take away and been out with the dogs. Relaxing with the OH and our dogs, on our iPads, chatting and chilling. It’s been a long, stressful week, just glad to relax.

Mine and H"s pizzas are just cooking, garlic heavy, teens have theirs.

After a productive yet chilled non-stressful day and evening of mock gcse geography revision, it was decided for a change the teens would do a blast from the past friday film this evening, so need to pick something to put on in an hour with popcorn.

And a glass of friday red.

Drinking gin, MN-ing and waiting for our takeaway to arrive. DH is sorting out some music downstairs. DD is gaming and there’s a lot of yelling coming from her room. Planning to watch something all together once we’ve eaten.

I have had a really long and stressful week at work & just getting rid of a cold. DH is away so it is just DD and me here. I was supposed to make Sri Lankan curry but I was too tired and annoyed after work, we had pizza and pumpkin shaped bao buns from the freezer.

I was also going to grab some wine at lunchtime but didn’t make it out (due to work) and the house is dry, but at least I will wake up feeling fresh tomorrow!

I had planned a bath and Rivals then DD asked me to help her dye her hair and I said yes. However, I have just seen the dye is permanent not semi and black, so I think WW3 is about to break out.

Beer and my own choice on netflix. Busy family day tomorrow.

My stomach is a bit iffy -hopefully it's ok now as I've to go and pick DD up from work for 9, be setting out shortly.
DH has just come in from some night photography thing at Tanfield.
DS made tea for he and I of fishfingers, wedges and peas - and said he was making tea so I could load the dishwasher!

I love Friday night.

2 pubs, 1st with family, second with friends,1.5 glasses of white wine.

Now home on sofa while DH cooks chicken curry, DS2 has gone to pick up DS2 from the station who is home from Uni for the weekend, can't wait to see him 😍

I'm knackered, I couldn't sleep last night so got about 3 hours all in. So far my Friday night has been a dog walk, a trip to aldi to do the weekly shop, I've just eaten a bowl of cereal for my dinner(cinnamon churros cereal that I saw in aldi and fancied trying, I'd give it a 7 out of 10)and next up is a half hour drive to pick up dd from her boyfriends. After that I'm collapsing into bed, really exciting stuff.

I’m on holiday and DP is away abroad for work. I met my friend for a big lunch so just had a Greek salad from M&S tonight. Bath and comfy clothes, I’m watching Corrie and the cat is in his bed by the radiator. I’ll have a glass of wine later, then will watch the BB eviction show “with” my friend in London - we started doing watch-alongs on WA during lockdown and never stopped!

Had a big bowl of spaghetti bolognese for dinner with my son, (husband away for a few weeks with work), then watched an episode of Somebody Feed Phil with him while we ate cookie dough ice cream. Now he's in bed and I'm watching a couple of eps of the 2nd season of Only Murders in the Building. Then I'm going to go to bed and flick through a new cookbook I got out from the library. A boring but calm evening!

DH is cooking dinner. DD needs a bath and we’ve got to do a huge clean as we have DHs best friend staying for the weekend tomorrow.

Really I just want to have dinner and curl up and watch the (we are very late to the party) nightsleeper.

Not long back from holiday. Just got over Covid . In our lovely little village local with DH, friends and one of my wonderful DC (adult) feeling tipsy and so happy to be with such great people. Starving though!

I witnessed the aftermath of a horrific car accident yesterday. A police car went into a car at such high speed her car was flipped a few times. She was heavily pregnant and she and her baby died.

I have just read they preformed a roadside emergency c-section to try and save the baby, and her husband saw the immediate aftermath and was screaming.

Feeling quite sick at what that poor family, and honesty the officer who caused the accident are going through.

Fucking terrible.

@MinnieMountain I lost my mum in the summer I’m only 3 months in. Still in shock probably. I think I’ll still be like this 4 years on too. Sending strength and I hope you find some comfort

We watched All Creatures Great and Small. Had a large glass of nice wine dh bought home and made poke bowls with dd. Bed soon as I didn’t sleep well last night.

Not the best - got a bit of a dodgy stomach tonight. Ate less than half of my dinner, now comfy in my pjs and will probably watch some telly and have an early night.

DH has come home from work with a vomiting bug (he's a teacher) so I think the whole weekend is going to be a struggle. He said one of the sick kids parents had sent him to school even though he was sick that morning. Cheers for that guys 🤢

I love these threads, reading about other people's daily lives.

DH is not feeling well (cold & horrible cough) so we had an Indian take away which is a very rare event.
We've watched All Creatures... and 2 episodes of Have I Got News For You which is one of my favourite things on television.

On my way to bed now. DH already up there. We're going to the theatre tomorrow but I'm worrying about DH's horrible cough annoying everyone else in the audience.
