DLA 2024 wait times

Hi guys I’m new on here scan date was 12/8 still waiting to hear from previous threads looks like a long wait I got a letter few weeks back saying 15 week wait is that an additional wait time or is it 15 more weeks to wait also do you think it’s different wait time in different areas

I think it’s 15 weeks from when they scanned it on to the system but loads of people on here have been waiting way over 15 weeks, I called last week and they told me new claims are taking around 20 weeks now.

It’s 15 weeks from when they received it. It’s taking over that for both new claims and mandatory reconsiderations.

Sd 18th July still heard nothing
All keep telling me is it's been assigned to dm.
Fingers crossed next week is my week for yes or no

They have started on July awards. A few have been seen awarded on FB

Oh really do you know what dates they have done I'm not on fb so can't see the page

I sent in a new claim which was scanned on 9/7.
I was told it should be processed by 26/11 is this date set in stone or can it take longer?
Also do you always receive a text msg when a descion has been made or is that random?

If you haven't heard anything by 26th ring them they can escalate this for you...usually you should hear back though by then and yes you get text sent well sometimes you do or keep checking your bank for payment as you get this before the letter if they awrd you child dla

I'm going to wait till next week and call them has I keep getting told I will receive descion by the 5th December call back then if not heard anything...I keep checking bank account also but still nothing.
Have you rang and asked for update again.

Rang yesterday stoll not been looked at so guess it's actually taking the full 20 weeks surely there on this dates or near too has 2 weeks ago trhy were doing 3rd July sd's

I'm waiting on renewal they told me last time that they processed them faster I hope that's true because it's only 8 weeks until it runs out I'm not sure why they have such long wait times it's ridiculous

The wait times are ridiculous at the moment she said when rang yesterday it's high demand as many children are getting diagnosed with adhd and autism... 19+4 days now and still not even looked at..I'm worrying now as my daughters only took 8 weeks start to finish with only letter off cahms to state she suffers bad aniexty and can't be in crowded places madness isn't it my sons on pathways for adhd and suffers with severe asthma 7 to 10 chest infection through out the year on many inhalers can't do alot of activities which is hard as he so hyper and very active he's only 6 too.

I’ve got a quick question for the people already claiming DLA for other children

when it’s coming up to your child’s claim ending do they get in contact with you to reapply or do we need to contact them to do a renewal? Also how soon in advance do you do the renewal of claim is coming to the end?

They send you renwal pack through the post about 3 or 4 months before claim ends. Have you had any news about your new claim yet
I haven't still nothing

They usually send the claim forms 4-5 months ahead of renewal. My daughters is due for renewal in May 25 but we haven’t had the forms through yet. They send them, you don’t have to contact them.
