I say yes because BB is simply a beef casserole, albeit from a French recipe, and beef goes with YPs. Plus the nice ones from the supermarkets are ready easy to cook.

Interesting. I've not noticed that. And butter and oil are both fats so how different can they really be?

I have been known to serve BB on top of well-toasted garlic baguette slices. Like a posh toast topper. This might appease our French cuisine aficionados.

I sometimes do beef in ale topped with garlic butter baguette slices crisped up in the oven.
