Thinking about venturing out to co op as it'll be the only thing open now but don't know what I want. I'm cold, have period pain and looking for something cosy and warming. Ideas please! Obviously limited to what co op can provide 😂

Soup - a hearty one like Scotch broth
Macaroni cheese
Hotpot
Beans on toast topped by poached egg
Cheese on toast
Toasted sandwich

Marmite27 · 13/10/2024 17:09

Stew and dumplings, then apple cake and custard.

MoneyAndPercentages · 13/10/2024 17:09

There's a thread today already on this which has some BANGING ideas 🤤

I'm having a cheese and chutney toastie, possibly with a hearty pour of malteasers to the side. You know, for the vitamins 👀 (I also have period pain!)

Just tried mushroom sausages from M&S. Not vegan but thought we would try them. Would recommend, they are delish. Made mash to go with. Can’t beat sausages and mash!

I looked at those yesterday and put them back. I’ll pick up a pack next week if they’re good.

Doggymummar · 13/10/2024 17:35

Crackling roast pork with all the trimmings, it's Sunday after all

MumChp · 13/10/2024 17:35

We are lazy so omelettes with cheese and ham.

WickWood · 13/10/2024 17:35

Fishcakes, salad and crispy potatoes!

StarSlinger · 13/10/2024 17:37

Sausage and mash with some sort of veg, Or sausage chips and beans.

Pluckpluckyplucked · 13/10/2024 17:39

We've just had all day breakfast (mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, hash browns, beans, bacon, sausage, toast). It was lovely, felt very comforting. Dd on her period too and is feeling under the weather and this was her request.

reluctantbrit · 13/10/2024 17:40

Roasted lamb steaks, baked potatoes and salad.

IF we are lucky there is some chocolate cake left from DD and her friends.

ButterAsADip · 13/10/2024 17:41

Roast chicken and all the trimmings but feel like I’ve forgotten something!

BobbinThreadbare123 · 13/10/2024 17:41

Nadiya's version of Swedish meatballs from her new programme Swedish meatballs with mash and broccoli 😋

DieDreiHexen · 13/10/2024 17:42

Boiled eggs and soldiers (in front of Ludwig) after having been out for an amazing Sunday lunch and a long walk home.

TomatoSandwiches · 13/10/2024 17:42

The end of curry week so butter chicken and a balti with rice, garlic nann breads, a mix of Indian starter type things, pickles, chutney and pistachio icecream for afters.

AHFBridport · 13/10/2024 17:43

Another Nadiya recipe here - but this is the chicken curry with hard boiled eggs.

Mumistiredzzzz · 13/10/2024 17:46

Pie, mash, broccoli and peas, onion gravy

Ladyof2024 · 13/10/2024 18:02

I guess I'm too late to help you now but what I just had for dinner you could buy it your local Co-op. It was a tray of pre-made mashed potato that you reheat in the microwave to which I added extra butter a dash of cream and some grated cheese, served up with some frankfurters and a squirt of tomato ketchup. it was really filling and warming and cozy
