What are you having for tea?

Thinking about venturing out to co op as it'll be the only thing open now but don't know what I want. I'm cold, have period pain and looking for something cosy and warming. Ideas please! Obviously limited to what co op can provide 😂

Roast chicken dinner for us - DH has been working all day so couldn't have it earlier.

GiddyRobin · 13/10/2024 18:32

DH is making seafood pho bowls! He's made the broth from scratch and everything, I am so excited. Summer rolls too, and a homemade peanut sauce! 😍

Beef, mushroom and ale pie with mash and veg. Can't wait!

DilemmaDelilah · 13/10/2024 19:09

Steak, chips and fried onions. But if I wanted something warming that I didn't actually have to cook I would have a ready-made cottage pie.

Only on Mumsnet 😂😂

What's that supposed to mean? Only on Mumsnet people like to cook? What a needlessly bitchy comment.

Quite happy to be served a lovely meal by my lovely husband, thanks.

MoneyAndPercentages · 13/10/2024 20:20

Lucky you @GiddyRobin that sounds lush 😍

Thank you! He's a brilliant cook, can't wait for the kids to sleep so we can sit down! They've got chicken pox so it'll be a well deserved treat after a shit few days.

Everyone here had pie, mash and veg. I had crusty bread and that's all because I am poorly.

Sounds really good tbh, I tried making summer rolls myself but it was too fiddly for me.

Beans on toast, cheese on toast, cereal or noodles are my go-to easy dinners.

Omg - homemade summer rolls 😍

GiddyRobin · 13/10/2024 21:53

@Hernamewaslola22 @TomatoSandwiches @Icanttakethisanymore

It was gorgeous, the summer rolls were the best bit! I'm rubbish at rolling them myself, the rice paper goes all soggy and they end up in lumps. DH says he's making them and I'm like an excited labrador. 😆

Hope you all had a lovely tea, too. Need it on a Sunday!

Not long finished work. So I'm having (had) a bowl of chicken and veg soup, a bit of cheese, some crisps and some chocolate and some haribo mix Not very healthy but I CBA cooking anything plus I'm back up again at 5am
