Watching Strictly Come Dancing and just in awe just how coordinated they are.
My bar is very low as I have two left feet and can trip going up the stairs 😂

Yep, I’m a natural.

GoldenSunflowers · 12/10/2024 19:08

I took lessons but I’m not a natural. I’ve also forgotten everything.

ShowerOfShites · 12/10/2024 19:09

No, I look like I'm being chased by a wasp.

Yeah, I think I can freestyle well enough but I can’t follow or copy any steps. So I just do my own thing. I dunno, I always seem to get the dance floor going to ‘Come on Eileen’ 🤣🤣

No, I look like I'm being chased by a wasp.

Haha, sounds like “contemporary dance” style.

frockandcrocs · 12/10/2024 19:13

Nope!
When I was around 18, I came home from a shopping trip and had been given two left shoes, my Dad found it hilarious and 'very apt' 😅

DouglasBader · 12/10/2024 19:13

No, not really. 😟

BoobyDazzler · 12/10/2024 19:17

Apparently I dance like i’m digging a hole but I give no shits because it feels amazing. Thankfully, though, Techno and Hard House music aren’t usually included in line ups with the foxtrot and salsa so the general public are probably safe from seeing it.

GretchenWienersHair · 12/10/2024 19:18

I used to be a great dancer, and then I stopped dancing for years and now I can’t even wriggle my hips to the beat without getting my ankles tangled up.

TomatoSandwiches · 12/10/2024 19:19

If drunk uncle at a wedding is under your definition of dancing then yes.

butterfly0404 · 12/10/2024 19:20

Yep, I go to Modern Jive twice a week, absolutely love it, danced my socks off last night with some incredible dancers. I wish I'd started when I was much younger, I'd be seriously good now in my 50's

1AnotherOne · 12/10/2024 19:21

I can’t follow a step routine but I can dance well with rhythm when out partying

NorthWestWise · 12/10/2024 19:21

I’m watching it too thinking the same thing. I had my first mammogram today and I could sense the mammographer (?)’s frustration at my inability to follow instructions as to how to position my body!

If I was famous they would NOT want me on Strictly.

Yep, I’m a natural.

Impressive! 👏

Can I heck! I look a right tit on the dance floor

Sethera · 12/10/2024 19:28

No, not even in a unstructured way.

changedlife · 12/10/2024 19:30

I have not an ounce of soul in my body .. my DH and all three kids dance like no one's looking.. and are phenomenal.. but me .. no .. just can't 😔

TriangleSquareFringe · 12/10/2024 19:30

Yes and would perform in amateur dramatics. I sing well too. Shit at other things however, like cleaning the house and answering phones. DH stacks shelves, pushes the trolley and climbs the ladder. He gets lots of thumbs up on the dancefloor and I know a couple of David Brents, which is a sight to behold.

Cowboycorgi · 12/10/2024 19:41

I love dancing, can't say I do it well. What I lack in co-ordination I make up for with enthusiasm!.

TentEntWenTyfOur · 12/10/2024 19:44

I've got a good sense of rhythm, tempo and co-ordination, but I bear a strong resemblance to Miranda. With arthritis. So although I feel like I'm doing it right and dancing really well, onlookers would disagree😂

Thevelvelletes · 12/10/2024 19:45

Yes but only in and to Northern soul records.

Singleandproud · 12/10/2024 19:45

Formally yes if I am taught the steps I pick it up quickly and I'm good at keeping rhythm BUT I am not good at any type of freestyle and find it stressful when asked to when I danced when I was younger.

Livinginaclock · 12/10/2024 19:46

Absolutely not, it doesn't stop me trying though and enjoying myself.

EmeraldRoulette · 12/10/2024 19:49

I have rhythm but no coordination or ability to learn steps.

so, I can sway in time 😂

I wish there was a way to learn at home!

Downtowngirls · 12/10/2024 19:49

Yes, I can and do so at any opportunity. If there's a dj and a dancefloor I'm on it. 💃
