Boring, I know, but with chips and cracks and fading patterns, I am ready to invest.

i don’t like huge chunky ones, but at the same time I want a mug, not a tiny teacup.

hit me with your faves!

I'd like some stripy mugs.

Tesco have a nice big yellow mug that's nice.

I love mugs, got loads!

DinnaeFashYerself · 09/10/2024 15:48

I love the shape, not so keen on the pattern

Dunelm are good for mugs.

www.rockwaysdesigns.co.uk have some lovely designs, they will print on those bone china mugs if you ask them, they don't have bone china listed on the website yet, the ones they have are probably a bit chunky for you? I got one from there a while ago and I love it!

www.wrendaledesigns.co.uk do some nice ones.

I saw a non-chunky collection (some Christmas themed) of Wrendale mugs on eCookshop and thought they’d be good to give as token gifts. I’ve seen the same sort in Dunelm, but not the Xmas ones.

@CoffeeBeansGalore snap!

CoffeeBeansGalore · 10/10/2024 00:53

@Sgtmajormummy 😊.

They are rather nice. Sounds daft but nice mugs to drink out of.

Thank you, these are lovely. Out of stock 🙁 but I’ve clicked on notify me for when they come back in.

Anthropologie mugs are my favourite. I’ve had many of their designs over the years and they’ve lasted well. No fading or chipping. Current favourite:

Le Creuset or Emma Bridgewater.

My tea drinking family all favour Anna wright mugs!

Personally I prefer a chunkier mug and these whilst pricey will last forever and can be collected over a long time.

We have mugs from both Anthropologie & PiP homestore & we use them daily & love them!

LikeABat · 10/10/2024 08:31

@fridaynight1 They are not chunky, a nice shape and good volume. We also have hare/rabbit, badger and 'mum' versions. Did have to buy in store as constantly unavailable to order, so maybe worth a try if you have a nearby shop.

A previous mug thread suggested mugs from Glosters, a pottery in Porthmadog. I visited the shop and was blown away. They are made from thin stoneware, are light and wonderful to drink from. Not cheap, but none of the “designed in UK (made in China)” crap. The only downside for @DinnaeFashYerself is the sizes, either big or probably too small.

Another vote for Glosters they are lovely.

I’ve got Emma Bridgewater and Sophie Allport mugs. Sophie Allport are a good size, but not chunky.

Those are lovely @Molecule. I'm going to order some to give as a housewarming gift. Thank you!

Morrisons fine bone china ones. They vary in design but I always pick one up if there's a new addition.
Not clunky, nice to sip from.

£4.50.

I've noticed they've got some others in similarly made but too small.
