I used a new toothbrush this morning. My teeth still feel squeaky clean. Love it.

Cold bedroom, warm electric blanket and fresh brushed cotton sheets... Also, shower pump.

Nemasu · 29/09/2024 23:36

Sitting by the window working from home, and enjoying the different birds coming to the bird table.
My pot of good coffee every morning
My electric blanket
Good cheese and crackers

CoolStoryBra · 29/09/2024 23:39

Fluffy socks.

Opening the seal on a pack of coffee and getting that lovely smell waft out.

First snowdrops, then first daffodils after winter.

Finding a trolley that you don’t need a £1 coin for.

A comfy and flattering item of clothing - not always easy to find!

neilyoungismyhero · 29/09/2024 23:41

I opened the curtains this morning to see a little Robin flitting around my water butt and a squirrel running along my neighbours fence...her partner in crime was hurtling through the tree branches. I watched them all going about their business for ages. Set me up nicely for the day.

RockyRogue1001 · 29/09/2024 23:41

I was going to say this @shizukana

And I see others agree too.

"Breaking the virginity" of a coffee jar/bag. I love the smell.

Ditto freshly mown grass.

Ditto hot tarmac when it rains.

And a personal joy today...
DD messaging (from uni). Not replying to a message from me, her initiating. Just something she wanted to tell me. Gorgeous ❤️

Coming back home after the morning school run to a cup of coffee in silence, even better if it’s the first day of term.

Disclaimer- I love spending time with my kids but I also work shifts through school holidays while trying to look after them and the calmness of the first few days of term are one of life’s pleasures!

When I open up my velux window in my loft bedroom and poke my head out and the breeze/wind catches my face. I can't explain it but I love it.

I also absolutely love the sound of bird song, it makes me a little sad to know that a lot of it will disappear as the birds head south, until the spring.

I can imagine that feeling!

Do you have the Merlin app? It listens to birdsong and tells you what it hears. Many tiny delights have happened when the app tells me I have heard an usual (for our location) bird, this year we heard a kingfisher and a cuckoo,

When I'm pain free

outforawalkbiatch · 30/09/2024 00:34

When everything is clean and tidy, fresh bedding, laundry done etc and I sit down with a coffee
Bliss

Gymnopedie · 30/09/2024 00:52

Mr Blackbird running up to me in the garden to be fed suet pellets.

Mr Blackbird sitting on the wall opposite the kitchen window and chirruping at me when I'm at the sink and as soon as I turn round flying round the corner to the conservatory door and hopping on the path to be fed suet pellets.

He's got me well trained.

I was at an event yesterday and at lunchtime there were lots of choices at different stalls. DP knew what he wanted to eat and joined the queue while I wandered around a bit aimlessly. I then made a decision, at the place which had the longest queue. I could see him at the front of his queue while I was at the back of mine and sent him a text to let him know where I was. I watched him as he received my message, saw him smile as he read it, then look around for me and grin and wave at me when he saw me. A tiny thing in life but it made me so happy.

LunaTheCat · 30/09/2024 01:29

The first sips of the first morning cup of tea.
snuggles from my dog
woke up this morning in time work and realised no work so dozed back to sleep!
when all the comets coliseum and I make my flute sing!

sashh · 30/09/2024 04:26

I have a rotary drier outside, in winter it doesn't get used by humans. but it is used by spiders. It looks like they have hung their webs up to dry!

And they are beautiful when it is frosty.

RickiRaccoon · 30/09/2024 04:33

Cracking a cold drink can open and taking the first sip.

Pudmyboy · 30/09/2024 05:09

taking my bra off
@halava This is such a lovely feeling, I know I am settling in for the night when I do this!
Saw a greetings card once, which said 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Can't Wait to Get Home and Take Off My Bra': may have been written for me!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 30/09/2024 08:37

Walking the dog on a Saturday morning watching the sun come up.

FlyHalf · 30/09/2024 08:52

When either of the dogs jumps onto my lap for a cuddle (but particularly the standoffish 35kg one)
A trembly new green leaf on the monstera
When something you didn't really want to go to, but were nobly psyched up to endure, is cancelled

I love this!

When you think about the instinct and effort involved in creating a web, it's amazing.

The first mouthfuls of a lovely hot cup of tea when you come home from a shite day at work and finally get to sit on the comfy sofa....

Me, exactly right now. Increasing amount of shit evaporating with every sip....

(that sounds nasty lol).
