• VP Kamala Harris did a rally with Oprah, it was a hit!

• Trump said anti-Semitic things to Jewish people at an anti-anti-Semitism event

• Trump's anti-Semitic endorsement who became the NC gubernatorial nominee Mari Robinson just got revealed as the Black Nazi who loves bisexual sex when he's not preaching against LGBTQ people or getting one of his beloved golden showers whole cheating on his wife with her sister, and he got caught on the AshleyMadison cheat on your wife website database
• Right wing journalist Olivia Nuzzi revealed an improper personal relationship with RFK Jr. after New York Magazine suspended her.
• Right wing propagandist Christopher Rufo also got caught in the Ashley Madison database looking to cheat on his wife, whom he admitted to being an undocumented immigrant from Thailand 2018 Facebook post after his years of supporting racial hatred against immigrants.
• The House Republican impeachment machine got torn to bloody shreds in full view of the public, as did their brilliant idea of bringing the people who wrote Project 2025 on to testify

It's all rather a lot to take in. I'm still reeling from him attending an anti-antisemitic event and using it as an opportunity to say if he loses the election the Jews'll be to blame. I mean, there's something about that whole thing that I just think really? Can he BE so stupid? And of course he can be and is but even so.

How do you fill that ballot form in @Talkinpeace? I’m a bit baffled by the double appearance of candidates in different columns. Where do you mark it? And what goes in Write-in candidate?

I have to colour in the circle above the name of the person I dislike the least.

And yes the multiple listings per candidate in 2004 were crazy - hence why I saved it.

Write in - I could put ANYBODY, they do not even have to be alive !!

All US forms are machine read - so much quicker results
and I only register for Federal so I do not get the rows and rows and rows of "down ballot" stuff

Well, not anymore - Georgia has just mandated hand counts. That may or may not stand, but it shows just how deeply the Trump machine has embedded itself. This election may well be stolen.

but they take time

I have family in Penn 5 : Gerrymandering at a level that the USA would not accept anywhere else in the world

The lower tech the election, the more safe it is. It would be impossible to rig a UK general election surreptitiously by trying to nobble votes after casting.

Most attempts to rig elections concentrate on the bit before votes are cast, like voter ID checks and a malign media.

As far as I can make out, voter fraud is exceedingly rare in both USA and UK, in double figures for the whole election most likely – people do sometimes succumb to the temptation to vote on behalf of a recently dead parent, or vote as at a new address and the old one as well, and get caught. All the frantic ID garbage the conservative party indulged in was a terrible waste of money, and remains a nuisance to all and sundry.

Virginia, Fairfax County:

At 1p 1528 people voted. In 2020 total in person voting on day one was 1213. They have already surpassed day one voting from four years ago… and the day is not over.

I'm in CA and ours is a lot simpler than yours. None of this double entry stuff. At least, I've never seen a different party having the same candidates as one of the other parties.

So you could vote for Harris as Democrat OR ' Working Families'? Is Working Families' an actual party?

We usually have Dem, GOP, Green, and Independent and they all have different candidates.
