Did anyone have a "bad" Friday 13th?

My mum was always very superstitious and drilled into me that Friday the 13th was a bad day. I've always found it to be another day but admit I always sort of expect something bad. What are your superstitions about?

the superstition stemmed from Christianity , judas being the 13th disciple, so unless you’re religious I don’t think it applies :-)

I had no idea it was the 13th until I asked Alexa what the day was! But I can say, my worst Friday 13th was when I got my spray deodorant and hairspray mixed up. Not a good day!

I was diagnosed with lung cancer on Friday 13th. Its my lucky date, because I'm one of very few who has survived that diagnosis. Because it was discovered early.

The superstition came from the Norse people too, didn't it? With Loki being the 13th god, and being one of destruction and mayhem? Also, the mass arrest of Templar knights on the 13th of October 1307 being a reason for it to be considered unlucky?

Shit day here, car ran into the back of me and I had a leak from a first floor toilet. Not sure it has anything to do with the 13th though!

I had a shit day but I've got treatment resistant depression so most days are fairly shit tbf.

Ds work up sick at 12.30 in the night so I ended up sleeping on the sofa.

Put on a wash and the washing machine leaked.

Someone rang in sick to work and had to cover for them.

But it's been OK other than that.

Not too bad but my outside tap broke and there was water gushing everywhere. Had to get a plumber out which wasn't cheap. Appreciate this is very minor in the scheme of things though!

I wasn’t superstitious, but had a phone call from my mum to pop round and see her after work tonight as she had news she wanted to give me “face to face”. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer today. It’s already spread to her lung. Just had to break the news to my DC who she is extremely close with.

My day has been pretty average but logged off from work and ds has literally not stopped talking at me or just wanting to be with me all evening and I’m really drained 😂 I put some crap on the telly so he would get bored and wander off but if anything it’s just driven him to talk more 🫠 he’s bloody 12, shouldn’t he be on his Xbox or something?!

Horrible day here...4 year old started with a seizure at 6am. By 6.45 we were in back of emergency ambulance. 1hr 45 mins seizing...many doses if meds...emergency ct scan...vomitting..... whole works. Got home wee while ago thankfully. Ready for today to be over.

Yes in a very insignificant way. My card got blocked, I had to walk 40 mins to work (a very cold morning) with a suitcase because I couldn't get an uber. Thankfully nothing else too bad. Thoughts to those with graver problems 🌹

I was divorced on Friday 13th. An excellent day for me.

Today has been shit. Constant complicated queries, entitled people and telling someone they were being disrespectful and not to speak to me the way they were. After nearly 11 hours in work I was lucky to get out in one piece. Didn't help that there is a full moon in 4 days either when the madness really ramps up.

My car is possessed I unlocked the doors and the windows rolled down rolled them up closed my door fucking unrolled again!

I bought the wrong train ticket from my town to another but it has two train stations normally trainline gives you an "all" stations ticket as they are less than a mile apart this time it didn't I was bricking it all the way home

For some reason cars kept not seeing me today and just pulling out infront of me my car isn't small! How did they miss me on a road? I actually used my horn today! I never used horn!
