What's for dinner tonight? Takeaway, out or cooking?

Happy Friday!

I'm making DIY egg fried rice with whatever is left in the fridge chucked in.

House to myself which is a treat, so trying to resist the very strong urge to get a takeaway for one.. as I have no self control and eyes bigger than my stomach!

What's everyone having? I need to be inspired for tomorrow..!

We've just decided we're having a Chinese takeaway. Going to try a new place tonight- fingers crossed it'll be good.

Oven fish and chips - properly lazy but DC love it, and much cheaper than real fish and chips 😁

Spent most of the day in hospital for investigations so dinner via m and s. Pizza for then, green godess salad and prawns for me. Lots of fruit boxes too.

We are having a selection of beige that I’ve dug out of the freezer! I really can’t be bothered to cook and I can barely eat anything so takeaways are pretty wasted on me!

Tacos with Kansas style bbq beef brisket ans burnt ends plus a variety of sides (salad, sweetcorn, rice, tortilla chips, black beans) and toppings (sour cream, cheese, pickles, slaw)

The children requested pizza from Domino's which I find revolting so I'm having chicken, dauphinous and green beans.

Off to Wagamama. DD’s treat as she’s moving into uni halls tomorrow.

Pizza, with red onion, black olive and anchovies…I love anchovies, though I know they divide a crowd. It will taste even better because it’s being made by my DH as well. So all I have to do right now is drink rum and pick the songs we’re doing on karaoke later. Cheers ladies, hope you’re all having a good one tonight, it’s felt like a long week and we deserve a break 🥂

Fresh Hake in a white breadcrumb for me and DS, frozen fish for DH because he doesn't like fresh fish! Homemade chips and mushy peas.

Not sure yet, I fancy spaghetti bolognaise but CBA making it 🤦‍♀️

I love this recipe by Taming Twins, the DC always ask for it if they’re home for the weekend from uni.

Lemon chicken orzo with fresh bread 😋. Nuggets, noodles and peas for dd2 who's as fussy as they come 🤷‍♀️. She'll eat the bread too.

We’re feeling autumnal so we’ve made macaroni cheese with spring onions and prosciutto, and a pumpkin spice cake to have with a cup of tea later.

Practically zero calories too 😳

I was thinking how is mac n cheese autumnal, until I saw the spice cake dessert 😂 I don't think mixed spice and cheese would be a pleasant combination!

I just make it in bulk, use for lasagne the nxt day, and huge tub in freezer for another spag bol, or lasagne another time. It does take 800-1 kg of mince, and about 7 tins of tomatoes!

Large sirloins (from the freezer), beer battered chips, mushrooms, sweetcorn and carrots.

Lemon, sesame chicken stir fry with noodles and green beans.

Take away. Possibly eaten in bed as I am overworked, grumpy and unwell.

I've made a huge pot of daal - enough to put a couple of dinners' worth in the freezer. So we'll have that, with rice, naan and mango chutney. It's a family favourite!
