I'm making DIY egg fried rice with whatever is left in the fridge chucked in.

House to myself which is a treat, so trying to resist the very strong urge to get a takeaway for one.. as I have no self control and eyes bigger than my stomach!

What's everyone having? I need to be inspired for tomorrow..!

sure, but let me preface this by saying I’ve never made this before- we just have a cabbage in so was looking for easy ways to use it

its literally just chopped up savoy cabbage in a vinaigrette of dijon mustard, white wine ginger, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper :) I shall give it a whirl and try to remember to come back to this thread and let you know the results!

I need a nice recipe for pulled pork please! We tried it once and weren’t keen but I can’t remember why. I think it might have been too sweet.

Smoked mackerel carbonara (healthier than it sounds!)

I'm going to make some sort of sticky spicy cauliflower with rice and tender stem broccoli. Maybe something else on the side. I'll have a think

Just texted DP asking if he wants to pick a takeaway up on his way home even though I'm just about to go and do a food shop. But I think it's the law that you can't do the big shop AND cook on the same day 😂

Just need to decide whether to go Chinese, Indian or pizza now....

Beef fried rice with spring rolls and prawn crackers, warm lemon sponge and custard for after.

Thai curry, really don't fancy it but have defrosted the chicken now.

I'm having a beyond burger in a warbutons roll with a bit of salad. Potato wedges and salad cream, and I may sprinkle some cheese on the top with some jalapenos.
Ultra unhealthy but delicious.

We're having some noodles with steak tonight.

Home made white bean pesto, pasta, pancetta.

I say pesto, I'm sure it's nothing like actual pesto but it's cheap and delicious.

Homemade bacon and mushrooms quiche and salad. I’m getting food envy now 😋

Indian take away. For one! Bliss!

I was in the mood for pav bhaji today, so that's what we are having, along with some brioche buns. It's one of the few ways to get veggies into DD who is autistic and is super picky

Cooking reluctantly, went to look at the menu for the pizza place in the village and they’ve suddenly shut down! Probably just something basic, got some leek and potato soup in the freezer so probably that!

Made a curried chicken and rice and have a bottle of fizz chilling in the fridge!

I’ve got some chicken thighs marinating in soy sauce, garlic & paprika and they’ll go in a baking tray with potatoes, courgette and red peppers for about half an hour. Will have with salad and a big dollop of Hellmans. I’m hoping there’ll be some leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Homemade meatballs with spaghetti and garlic pizza bread, DS who is 11 has announced he's cooking with DH so I get a night off.
Tomorrow night is Asda CYO Pizzas so not the healthiest of weekends 😁
Just done some cleaning so might get a shower, get a gin and watch some more of the Perfect Couple

I batch cooked today but we just ordered a pizza 😅 i feel like i needed a reward after all that work and washing up!

Just had a sausage sarnie well not really a sarnie because it was on a sourdough roll. It really hit the spot.

Roast chicken, broccoli and a salad. Raspberry trifle from the shop as a dessert.

DH is ordering a kebab. I’m going to pick at odd bits from the fridge and cupboards until I find what hits the spot…and probably a few pieces of his doner
