I would say the Queen was up there when she was alive but not sure Charles would make the top 10 now.

Don't know about Vietnam but in India, they know about Ronaldo. India has cheap Internet available everywhere. They have a lot of young people, who are quite active on social media.

agree it quite possibly was the Queen (qe2) before she died. hugely recognisable as an individual rather than just the role being recognised as with the pope and so on.

I suppose you have to try to think who's well known in India and China as well as/instead of 'the west', and also bear in mind that populations are generally younger outside the west.

Putin would be a contender, ditto Trump & Obama. from music maybe Swift and Shakira. from acting maybe someone like Dwayne Johnson. Messi and Ronaldo, though their time is probably coming to an end...
