What have you started doing that tells you Autumn is coming?

I realised today I am moving into Autumn mode. In the last week or so, I have been:
Making lentil soup for lunch
Making vegetable casseroles with beans and other pulses
Painting autumnal landscapes instead of summery scenes
Picked the apples from the tree
Closing the garden doors in the evening
Taking my waterproof hat when I go out walking
Bringing the cats in from the garden about 7.30pm
Put the heating on twice
Having a nice warm bath before bed
Wearing longer leggings so there is no gap around my ankles

Keeping the conservatory doors closed.
Putting lamps on mid afternoon if we're home
Slippers instead of flip flops
Cardi on when I get up and any time I'm sitting around
Dinners with veg instead of salad.
I'd be getting the throws out and considering bunging on the heating but thankfully I'm off on holiday so fingers crossed we will be seeing the sun and feeling the warmth again. Can't wait, this summer in my part of the UK has been a washout.

We had our first casserole on Sunday, with dumplings 😋
The winter duvet went on two weeks ago
Tomorrow I’m putting away my summer clothes and having a big clear out before packing them up
Dog towels already in use for soggy dog walks 🙄
The heating has kicked in three mornings over the last ten days
We lit the wood burner several times in June and August which is ridiculous!

I am sitting by the fire

Feeling cold and struggling with energy 😫
