Disney?

Following on from the Disney adult thread, let’s have a lovely lighthearted one please 😄 what’s your absolute favourite Disney film? As a kid if was beauty and the beast but I also love some of the more modern ones.

Yes I know they’re sexist, old fashioned, problematic (at less the old ones are!) but this is a light hearted bubble thread 🫠

Zootropolis is top notch

I love Encanto and Robin Hood.
My live action fave is Bedknobs and Broomsticks. It doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Beauty and the Beast - if only because Gaston is especially good at expectoration, not to mention using antlers in his home decoration.

I do miss the 'proper' animation - Little Mermaid and Beauty and The Beast and The Lion King were three of the last ones I think. I love all three. Also Frozen, and Finding Nemo! And Shrek (Is that Disney?)

I must be the only person I know who dislikes Encanto. Too noisy and busy for me. Just can't stand it!

Cinderella is quite cute - the 1950s one, and so is Snow White - from the 1930s. Also enjoy Enchanted from 2007. (And the 1960s Jungle Book!)

Oh and Mickey's Christmas Carol! And Toy Story of course!

Animation: Jungle Book

Live action: One of our dinosaurs is missing

As a child I adored The Little Mermaid and Aladdin.

My favourites of the more modern films are Moana and Coco.

Figment1982 · 06/09/2024 21:30

Aladdin is still my favourite, but with Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King closely following.

Definitely not my favourite but one that I revisited recently and was just amazed that I used to watch it as a child without nightmares is The Black Hole.

I love Lady and the Tramp as I remember watching at home at Christmas as a young girl, and it evokes such feelings of being young and safe and happy.

I also love sleeping beauty - I have always sung once upon a dream to my daughter since she was a baby, and now it’s “our song”

And, he's roughly the size of a barge.

Hercules
Sword in the Stone
Alice in Wonderland

I liked the live action Cinderella.
