Oasis tickets part 2

Apologies if there's another thread I've missed but the discussion continues as the brothers deny all knowledge of surge pricing, or rather claim they thought it would result in lower prices for fans - yeah, right!

In answer to the person's question on the last thread I did get acknowleged as entered in the ballot

as if, how long have they been around.

youheard · 06/09/2024 09:35

The funniest thing is blaming management when Liam's girlfriend is his manager, I bet they agreed she'd just take the flak - well for 1/2 of £70m or whatever he's going to pocket you would, wouldn't you?

I understand if you were unsuccessful in the first ballot you get priority but how will they acknowledge people unsuccessful in the general sale? Does TM track people waiting? I was in the queue and all sold out, but the guardian has some notion they could be entered.

Who knows how they'll do it.

They're also still banging on about how tickets bought from Viagogo are "liable to be cancelled" when there's actually no way of doing this.

Also a joke they put seetickets and gigsandtours as sellers, did literally anyone get a ticket from them? They're not even acknowledging them now

The whole saga seems to have become an unedifying mess.

I suppose the upside is that it may shine a welcome light on rip-off ticket pricing and selling practices in the UK, along with the alleged associated unsavoury practices from the surrounding industries (e.g. hotels).

The latest story about the (lack of) accessible seats for the fans who most need them is today's cherry on the cake.

Hopefully it'll all come out in the wash.

youheard · 06/09/2024 09:47

It would be amazing if something positive eventually came out of this

I've got my tickets, I'm going but I'm not going to be feeling full of love towards the brothers G. They'd better put on one hell of a performance

this is why artists dont want their name linked with this pricing (they'll take the money). TM and the management are faceless people who can take the hit. Unfortunately for Oasis they have been the public face of this. They wont refund the money.

CustardCreams2 · 06/09/2024 14:36

The whole dynamic pricing thing is such a sham. Shame on oasis, they were definitely complicit in this.

I still got tickets tho, I just had to. Without being cliche, Wonderwall and Don’t look back in anger bring back such memories for me. I’ve even bought oasis bracelets on eBay now. So excited.

Hi Noel 😂

Posted this on the other Oasis 2 thread 😂, but no replies...I guess you were all over here!

Does anyone know if we need to re register for a presale code for the new dates if we didn't get tickets the first time around?

I registered the first time but didn't get a code and then didn't get tickets 😢

youheard · 06/09/2024 21:17

Where is the other thread? 🤣

Dont think there’s any news re upcoming sales and the ballot. They’re implying if you registered last time you might get a code this time. But Noel and Liam are probably still puzzling over logistics

It's anyone who signed into their TM account to try and get tickets.

buzzing · 08/09/2024 07:14

I got an email saying if qualified for the new ballot and needed to register which I’ve done. It then said I should receive a confirmation email that all has gone through but I haven’t had that email.

Anyone else done the new ballot and did you get a confirmation email?

It isn't though. I was signed in and waiting in the queue all Saturday. No blinking email.

Stylinson · 08/09/2024 07:21

No email for me, my husband or either of my daughters - and we were all signed in to Ticketmaster and in the queue - all from different locations around the country!!

CharlotteBog · 08/09/2024 07:24

My emails says "You have been identified as someone who signed into your Ticketmaster UK account on Saturday 31st August and joined an event specific queue to purchase tickets, but were not successful in completing an order."

I joined the queue to get into TM, then the queue to get into the Oasis part of TM, then individual queues for each venue I tried.
There were only really expensive VIP packages by the time I got in.

Sorry, I wasn't entirely clear. It says the queue for Oasis tickets, not just the queue for TM.
Once you got past the TM queue and into TM you then clicked on Oasis and joined another queue. So maybe it's just the people that got that far.

I suppose there were people who wanted to get into TM to buy tickets for other events, a bit like turning up to the Apple store just to buy a laptop charger not realising the iPhone was being released and finding a queue 7 miles long.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 08/09/2024 07:50

I got the email and have now registered with oasismynet - apparently now you get another email to confirm your registration? Has anyone received that second email yet?

No. I was in the queue for a specific concert. Not in the queue for a queue. I should give up being angry because I think they're the dullest thing that came out of the 90s but my husband wanted tickets for him and his cousin. Both of us in a specific queue neither of us got an email.

Yes. It took a few mins.
