How many emails in your inbox?

Recently saw someone post about having lots of emails in their inbox and felt quite embarrassed that I had around 1500 in mine. However, on closer inspection that was 1500 unread emails
My actual number of emails was over 26,000
I've been deleting and decluttering and am now down to about 2,000!
How many do you have?!

None! I can't cope with seeing the 'number' so I just mark them all as unread!

None. Read emails only stay in my inbox if they need actioning. Otherwise they’re moved into a folder or deleted.

BTW all the family members I know with large numbers of unread emails in their inboxes have ADHD.

Work email- around 4 which I didn't get around to yesterday and that's it

37,423 in my personal emails and 184 in my work inbox! 😬👀
i get a LOT of marketing emails from various companies. Every so often, I unsubscribe, but still seem to get loads per day, hence over 30 thousand in my inbox!

Unread - none.

Read - at the moment around 30 but I need to work on decluttering again. I normally keep them until I deal with whatever is required and then I either delete or file them.

None unread, three that are just about deliveries I’m expecting. I delete every day.

Apple did an update two? Maybe 3 years ago, and all my deleted emails came back! Since then deleting emails seems almost impossible! So I have thousands despite regularly deleting them. It regularly marks them as unread, even though I have read them🤯.

16 but I was off yesterday it will be zero by 5, I don't lig off till email WhatsApp slack etc are done

OMG @veritasverity that would be the stuff of nightmares, I've spent hours deleting and would be fuming if they all reappeared!

When I get over 20 I start getting twitchy and start deleting/archiving them.

OP- if you delete or archive emails as soon as you've read them, unless you really need them in your inbox to refer to again (in which case you delete as soon as no longer needed), it takes no real effort to stay on top of them. Totally get that it's a big job once they've built up, and kudos to you for being so ruthless in your clearing out!

Well over 35k. It's the nature of my job. Most of it is junk but if I deleted it every day it would take my entire work day

There's over 50,000 in my 'sorted' folder in my work inbox 🤦‍♀️🤣

Currently just 1 in my actual inbox - which I'm leaving until I've decided whether or not to go to the xmas party this year (I work fully remotely and head office is around 100 miles away)

In my personal email I have 38,670 emails, none unread because I either read or delete a few times a day. I've had this email for a long time, probably nearly 20 years and I also have a few emails that I copied over from my previous email account to keep.
