Trying to read an article behind a paywall . In the photo she looks absolutely gaunt. Can anyone tell me the gist of the article? It’s Clive and Amanda talking about how fame ruined their marriage.

I think it was 32 - but yes, I definitely remember there was a lot of less than positive talk about the age gap, and the fact they had really only met a handful of times before they got married. Add Camilla into the mix and it was never going to end well.

I know this family well and they need time to regroup and look after each other. Clive is not a grim man. Amanda is a very complex woman, and not what you see on the show. She has an unquenchable thirst for love and attention - and she cannot help herself some of the time. They all need to be left alone imo.

A 40 year old man who goes with a 21 yr old woman is the definition of grim. Thank god society is changing its views on age gaps.

I always got the impression that Amanda was very attention seeking. She never came across as maternal at all, and seemed to think Raven should look after them. I read an article once by Clive's daughter from his first marriage and she said that Amanda ruined the relationship between her and her dad. Amanda was in desperate need to constantly be the centre of attention, and Clive was completely besotted with her and did whatever she wanted. They live 20 minutes apart and Clive hasn't had a relationship with his dgc. There were a few scenes in the series where you could see the tension between Amanda and Raven even, Amanda wanted to be front and centre all the time.
What I'd really love to know is how the hell either of them have the time to date other people. A working farm and 9 kids surely would knacker anyone, and Clive is in his 70s!

Yes I agree with that and wonder how they got time to date too! I felt sorry for Raven, she seemed a bit pushed aside and expected to look after the younger children. Reuben was expected to look after them too when she wasn’t around.

This is sad, very sad for the older ones to see their mum unwell, I hope she recovers. It’s a difficult time without being in the public eye, divorce , menopause, toddlers , teens ,university, a farm… exhausting. Presumably she’s rich enough now to access some effective help, let’s hope she’s able to .

They clearly haven’t learned their lesson. She looks like a completely different woman. Neither of them look happy at all. What a shame.

Coming late to this thread I've just started watching their new programme. A is extremely thin, is she ill?

An older man marrying younger, reading earlier posts say it's grim? I disagree, and don't see anything wrong with two consenting adults as they both are.

I wouldn't kick him out of bed either . The actor that is.

Thank you for this. I've read it and all I can say is I'll never assume anything I read is true anymore. They both sound like they are doing their best. Clive has taken responsibility for his actions. Both should have communicated better.
