There's another "are you glad you voted Labour" thread running. Several about the clothes donations. It is getting really boring and I don't think I can be bothered with them now!

Imagine 5 years of it Shock🙈

Oh that will get 'em all going!

Grin

Good news about Dr strikes. I also like the term changing to reflect the actual experience. May help the problem with underpaying them too if they aren't named below the actual standard they are iyswim?

Starmer held a speech tonight at the Holocaust UK annual dinner.

The plan to get Casement Park up and running in time for the Euros has gone up in smoke. Along with my plans to make a mint out of Air B&Bing my house.😭

BustingBaoBun · 17/09/2024 07:25

On the clothes issue... stupid stupid mistake, should not have happened.

However, let's put this into context. BJohnson had trips to Mustique paid for, his fuck off wedding at a huge country estate donated by Lord Bamford.... in a 4 month period in 2022, this Lord funded BJ to the tune of over £50,000, and I haven't even mentioned wallpaper yet!

And on top of this at least the Starmers were found out when they tried to do the right thing!

Still blooming annoying and a bit stupid.

Hopefully Starmer has learned his lesson and will be more careful going forward. The right will bang on about it forever, though. They have only just stopped going on about Keir's beer.

The 'see they are just as bad as us' is quite a take.......

And one that the bots and fanboys/girls will push remorselessly.

I am teaching myself to roll my eyes and move on. Life is too short.

I really, really need to learn this too.

Not failsafe but - hide the thread for a couple of hours - nothing seems that important after a timely break and any accumulated frothing can be quite amusing if you choose to go back

BustingBaoBun · 17/09/2024 12:23

I agree @Efacsen and there is nothing like silence when a poster is deliberately having a poke and wants you to retaliate. Even better if they try more than once to break your silence 🤭😄

DuncinToffee · 17/09/2024 12:36

I get that on another thread that I regularly post on - a certain poster regularly tags me but I refuse to reply to him. Grin

Judging by other people's overly patient replies to him, he's still posting the same repetitive drivel Hmm. I refuse even to read his posts - they add nothing to the discussion Confused

MrTiddlesTheCat · 04/09/2024 10:07

They're real. I had no idea that they were poisonous. My cats normally don't bother with them. They're usually too busy trying to pilfer wotsits from DS.

OMG!! Cats don't even have to bother with lilies so be killed by them. They only have to brush past them or walk through dropped pollen. Then when they groom themselves they will ingest the pollen and die. Hundreds of not thousands of cats are killed by lilies. And once they start to show symptoms it's too late to save them. Removing the stamens also doesn't make them safe. Even the water they have been in will be highly toxic.

Piggywaspushed · 17/09/2024 14:54

I am very very allergic to lilies. I may be a cat.

Piggywaspushed · 17/09/2024 14:55

In other news, I have had my op postponed.

Not useless NHS . Useless urinary tract infected AGAIN.

BIossomtoes · 17/09/2024 15:04

Oh no @Piggywaspushed. So sorry. Could you ask for preemptive antibiotics next time?

Oh no - that's so frustrating!

Piggywaspushed · 17/09/2024 15:05

The nice nurse said I should get my urine retested in a week and make sure the infection has actually cleared up.

BustingBaoBun · 17/09/2024 15:08

Oh poor you piggy it's just hanging around isn't it, waiting to get it over and done with

Piggywaspushed · 17/09/2024 15:09

Yes, and in my case never quite knowing what it is that has made me ill which complicates things a lot.

Zonder · 17/09/2024 15:23

Sorry to hear that @Piggywaspushed
