I don’t recall Sunak ever saying his dc’s names. In fact the last PM who had children who I remember being open with the names was Cameron. And previously, Blair. Oh, I suppose we knew the names of Johnson’s children with his latest wife but meh……only weirdos are that invested in a politician’s family, surely?
But OBVIOUSLY, it’s all a MASSIVE problem when Starmer keeps his children out of the spotlight Hmm

RafaistheKingofClay · 08/09/2024 18:48

Not entirely clear that Johnson knows who all his children are.

Haven’t caught up with the thread so this may have been covered. 7 votes in the commons since the end of recess. Which gives reform MPs a chance to have cast 35 votes between them. Any guesses for how many times reform MPs have voted?

DuncinToffee · 08/09/2024 18:49

As many times as Farage has shown his face in Clacton?

There's not many things I agree with on this thread, but if Starmer wants to keep his children out of the public eye I don't think anyone should have a problem with that. In fact before today I wasn't aware he even had children.

@DuncinToffee - it's crocosmia (also known but less so nowadays as montbretia). The small orange form spreads everywhere Hmm. I prefer Crocosmia Lucifer, which is taller and red - but my garden is SO overgrown I couldn't get to my small patch of it.

If that answer is 0 then you are all correct. I’m sure they have been very busy in their constituencies hence their apparent unwillingness to vote.

ThatbloodyRoblox · 08/09/2024 19:12

Thank you for another new thread, I am as always reading and grateful to all the contributors.
I also thank you for your tax picture's, I adore cats.
I do however have a slight aversion to squirrels 🐿️ their bushy tails make them look cute but if you take that away they look a little rat like to me. 🙄
Anyway roll on the budget as the majority of my once Con but now LD town think Starmer is out to steal their houses and kill anyone over pension age, plus the many " we go to the nearest private school " parents are incandescent with VAT rage.
P.s I think "honest Bob " might get the leadership Hmm

Zonder · 08/09/2024 19:51

Honest Bob the interior decorator?

Thank you! I have lots in my garden too and didn't know what it was called. I have seen the red version, which is lovely.

ilovesooty · 08/09/2024 21:16

Evening all. I checked in to see if we still have squirrel activity. 🙄

So taking a leaf from George Galloway then whose voting record was low,

Who was it who used to keep posting (on these threads I think) that there wasn't any evidence of wrongdoing in the Tory government? I hope they can see this post from @DuncinToffee

Why ? They'll just whine it's fake news, or biased news, or not news, or has an agenda. It's not like they were ever posting and acting in good faith.

The league of morons twigged long ago that if they slip up and give a clear example of something then it's had to carry on grifting when that example is delivered. Much more lucrative to never specify what it is you are "vexed" about, in the safe knowledge you can never be satisfied and continue your whine unto all eternity. All the time wasting energy and resources from those that actually want to do something.

Just look at Brexit. If you let them, the Brexaloons will go on forever about not getting "their" (never specified) Brexit. Al least on this one, they can't whip up to much trouble as for the vast majority of the public, Brexit is done & dusted.

Transparency International UK has identified significant concerns in contracts worth over £15b awarded by the Tory govt during the pandemic... a vast waste of money

Daniel Bruce(Transparency Int. UK): Relevant authorities should conduct a forensic audit of all of those contracts

Yes! I think also the same person who could never quite answer JGWs questions about a man in his 50s and a lockdown party!

Maybe returned to real life ?

The hardest substance known to man isn't diamond - nowhere near close. It's basic human stupidity that has been allowed to react with other peoples basic stupidity. It's the intellectual equivalent of an ionic bond. And it is used - not for grinding lenses - but for grinding people. If you let it.

I only post due to a combination of various factors that require me to keep my mind fairly active and allow me some time to do so. When that lottery win comes through you won't see me for dust 😀

A new phase of the Covid-19 inquiry examining the impact the pandemic had on patients, healthcare workers and the wider NHS has begun.

Didn’t the bank initially reject a couple of payments because they ticked all the flags for money laundering?

The government had to admit to it in some court case although I can’t for the life of me remember why they were in court at the time.

How about the cross channel ferry company with no ferries ?
