90 mins roughly, door to door.

AlwaysKindaKnewYoudBeTheDeathOfMe · 31/08/2024 19:07

1 hr 40.

swapcicles · 31/08/2024 19:08

About 25 minutes walk, door to staff room.
Involves a hill and two flights of uphill stairs either end.
Only recently started and my knees are killing me!

Mumistiredzzzz · 31/08/2024 19:09

Start my new job in a week...4 minutes walk 😀😀

Bearpawk · 31/08/2024 19:11

10 mins in car, 30 mins walk and about 25 mins door to door bus .... I use a mix of all 3

fiorentina · 31/08/2024 19:11

90 minutes, walk, train, tube, walk.

JC03745 · 31/08/2024 19:13

30 secs, walking down the stairs to my office!

MissCherryCakeyBun · 31/08/2024 19:13

120 minutes each way by car twice or sometimes 3 times a week and WFH the other days

TorturedParentsDepartment · 31/08/2024 19:13

Hour and a half driving - I cover the geographical area no one else was willing to step up and do - hence the long trip.

Ferne88 · 31/08/2024 19:14

WFH

Office is about 1 hour 30 away so I go rarely

ShamblesRock · 31/08/2024 19:14

30 minutes on a clear run (well can do it in 28 if lights are in my favour)

Usually 35-40 though. Sometimes it can take 10 minutes just to get out of my road (live near a school)

Going to be adding time in from next week as I will need to drop ds at college and whilst it is between home and work it is out of my way. I just need to find the best route that avoids as much school / town traffic as possible.

Soontobe60 · 31/08/2024 19:15

Just long enough for me to listen to the previous days episode of the Archers

Cherrysoup · 31/08/2024 19:15

20 minutes, it’s only a few miles but is a single 30mph lane past schools and a mainline station very near the town centre. If i time it right, it’s 10 minutes but then I’m there too early.

BrieHugger · 31/08/2024 19:15

About 30 seconds from bed (wfh) but about 3 hours by train to go into the office (once a year)

RufustheFactualReindeer · 31/08/2024 19:16

I am usually only in the office one day a week

its 35 minutes in the car, 7 minutes in the train and 5minutes walking from the station to the office

i leave at 6.55/7 and i walk through the office doors at 7.50/7.55

leave the office at 5.05 and walk through my front door at 6.15ish

LimoncelloSpritz · 31/08/2024 19:16

30 - 45 mins in the car plus a 5 min walk. Would be an hour by public transport. I mostly WFH

DancingPhantomsOnTheTerrace · 31/08/2024 19:17

Depends.

I mostly wfh. When I go in I either go to my local office 10-15 mins by car depending on traffic. Or I go to the London office which is 10-15 mins by car, about half an hour by train, then about half an hour on the tube. So 75 mins travel time total, but generally more because obviously there's time between parking and actually getting on the train. Maybe 90 mins depending on that, and how the tubes are going.

Panicmode1 · 31/08/2024 19:18

Used to be 4 mins walk to one office, and 15 mins to the other (2 part time jobs). Starting a new job on Monday which will be about 20 mins walk there (downhill) and probs 30 on the way back up the hill 😂

Beezknees · 31/08/2024 19:19

About an hour total from door to door. Bus ride (traffic at that time of morning makes the journey around 45 minutes) then a 10 minute walk. I wfh 3 days a week though so only have to do it twice a week.

ShamblesRock · 31/08/2024 19:19

Whilst I don't love my commute, I like the de-stress time plus I listen to podcasts.

GingerLiberalFeminist · 31/08/2024 19:19

16 min on bike and 5 min train. Or 30min in car. 8 miles.

BellaVita · 31/08/2024 19:21

7 minutes by car.

HighlandCow78 · 31/08/2024 19:21

2 minutes by car or 15 mins on foot. I am very lucky!

RichardMarxisinnocent · 31/08/2024 19:22

13 minute walk

TheCatCameBack112 · 31/08/2024 19:22

We have multiple sites, and I work acroos two of them usually across the week. They are 30m one way and 50m one way. I drive to both. Funnily I don't mind the longer commute as I put on a podcast and the drive is leafy and scenic in parts. I'm interviewing for a job which is a bit further away. 50m routinely door to door, but could be up to an hour and a half if the single A road option is snarled up with an accident.
