Between 8 and 12 minutes depending what time I leave home at.

Allywill · 31/08/2024 14:31

varies depending on traffic/ time I set off but approx 75mins. No feasible public transport option and thankfully is only 2 days a week now due to hybrid working.

mynameiscalypso · 31/08/2024 14:33

35 if I don't do the school run. 50 with the additional of the school run.

Goingclipclipertycloponthestairs · 31/08/2024 14:33

40 mins by car

llamalines · 31/08/2024 14:33

0 daily (WFH) with occasional meetings 1 - 3 hours away.

When I lived in London, pre-covid, my commute (within London) was 45 mins.

NoWordForFluffy · 31/08/2024 14:34

About 70 minutes: walk, train, walk. Thankfully I only have to go in once a week!

Sunnyside4 · 31/08/2024 14:35

Two jobs:

Eight minute walk

Ten minute drive, then either one or twelve minute walk depending on where I can park that's free.

Lavender14 · 31/08/2024 14:35

45/50minutes by car one way.

whoscoatsthatjacket2012 · 31/08/2024 14:37

25 minute car but after 7.30 it's 45 minute

Natsku · 31/08/2024 14:37

About 25 minutes (a lot quicker for everyone else that drives the same route though, as they all seem to speed!) but 45 minutes if I include dropping off/picking up DS at school

HelenWheels · 31/08/2024 14:40

50 minutes, 40 driving, 10 walking
dreading the dark nights and rainy weather

BubblinTrouble · 31/08/2024 14:40

Around 20 mins in the car. I have to be in 3 days a week.
previously had a 1 hour commute. I hated it. Deffo not doable now I have kids.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 31/08/2024 14:42

Less than 10 minutes by car. 1hr 20 mins by public transport. Not walkable or bikeable as all major roads/dual carriageway

JumpstartMondays · 31/08/2024 14:43

14 miles.

35-50min driving depending on a 5minute window of departure!

UrsulaBelle · 31/08/2024 14:44

20-25 minutes by car. It’s only 3 miles but across the centre of my town. 45 minute by bus.

mindutopia · 31/08/2024 14:46

3 hours door to door. I don’t go into the office much anymore, but I used to go 3 days a week. I’d leave at 6am, get in at 9am, leave at 4pm, home to do bathtime when my dc were little at 7pm.

Keepchangingyourname · 31/08/2024 14:46

10 mins walk , 1- 10 minutes drive 🙄 I only drive when it’s raining, or the high school is closed as it’s that traffic that makes it longer to drive then walk !

Gulbekian · 31/08/2024 14:46

About 25 minutes.
Short drive, short underground trip, short walk.

DelphiniumBlue · 31/08/2024 14:47

30 minutes- one hour driving. Longer by public transport. It used to be about 15 minutes until LTNs were installed all over north London.
Some younger colleagues cycle it in about 30 minutes. It would be about 1.5 hours to walk.

Keepchangingyourname · 31/08/2024 14:47

Or 1800 steps . And I complain about that commute so I can’t imagine how people do 3 hours!!

mamaduckbone · 31/08/2024 14:48

30 minutes. It's fine.

Cobblersorchard · 31/08/2024 14:48

60-ish
In school hols I can do it in 45, but it is usually 55-60 most of the year.

Coming home it is 50 if I leave later, 60 if I leave on time. I tend to stay later for that reason!

This is by car.

BashfulClam · 31/08/2024 14:49

In office it’s 1 hour door to door. 15 minute walk, 30 minute train, 5 minute walk but also factor in train waiting time and ticket gate queues.

working from home it’s 30 seconds.

notatinydancer · 31/08/2024 14:49

40 - 50 minutes driving.
Would be three buses and over two hours and none get there in time.
No direct train.

babybythesea · 31/08/2024 14:50

10 minutes. 15 if I meet a tractor or a farmer moving sheep!
I drive - I walked the route once in lockdown and it took almost 2 hours, most of the roads have no pavement, it’s right down into a valley and up the other side and the stream at the bottom of the valley often floods - there’s no bridge, you just drive through the overflow. I’d love to walk but it’s not doable.
