I really love the new Barclays advert with the kids.
"I didn't have calamari, so I'm not paying for calamari!"

I just love it!! They are great kids.

Do you have a favourite advert, either current or from the past that you just love?

I enjoy the Nationwide ones - "Muffin me" and "Wedge me" - think it's maybe Dominic West, wonderfully expressive face! Fond of the Virgin walrus in the speedboat as well, but I hope it's just amazing CGI. I like walruses.

I also like their ads from the 00s with Mark Benton as the bank manager "brand new customers only!"

I don't get to see adverts anymore, sort of miss them.

I liked the Specsavers ad where the vet tries to treat a fur hat thinking it's a cat. Always made me smile.

I loved that one too, so funny.

Another specsavers one, where the farmer has been shearing the sheep but has just shorn his collie dog by mistake.

Yes, yes! The Barclays one, Nationwide one, Twix one, and quite like the kids who spray water on their family. Oh and the Ikea one. Yes and both the Specsavers cat and sheep ones.

My favourite is the John Lewis one from 2010 - I was on Mat leave and cried my eyes out that my tiny baby would grow up so fast. (Said tiny baby is significantly taller than me now.)

The specsavers one with the man at the airport makes me laugh and I used to like the old club adverts if you like a lot of chocolate on your biscuit join our club!

The recent advert for NatWest featuring a little girl who thought she scored a pound because she returned her Dad's supermarket trolley. She was so sassy and pleased with herself and so crestfallen when Dad held out his hand for his pound, the rotter!

OTOH, I loathe the Cunard one where a man with a fruity voice intones 'I wonder, I wonder... and goes on to speculate about the possible life of a young woman with 'banquets (!) dinners, love affairs..." presumably while on Cunard cruises. Shudder.

Aldi have got one out for the Olympics!Paralympics just now. It's Kevin the Carrot again and I nearly screamed at the telly when I first saw it because I thought it was going to be a Christmas ad.

Aldi had one at Christmas, sticking two fingers up at everyone who has sued them. Colin the caterpillar from M&S etc having a party.

The specsavers one with the wife and husband Barry.

The bank one with "That's not banker"

Good ads are few and far between these days.
