What colour bath mats do you have?

I love my white, fluffy bath sheets. But I am finding my white bath mats are getting FILTHY after just one use (disabled DC probably the culprit with his enthusiasm for water splashing etc)

What colour are your bath mats? They seem to constantly be soaked and not drying properly, and looking grubby. Hand towels and bath towels all white and they’re fine

Teal. Doesn't show a scrap of dirt (other than the occasional toothpaste drip).

hexsnidgett · 27/08/2024 17:28

I don't have any. What are they for?

AtTheTurnybus · 27/08/2024 17:30

I've just got some sage green cotton noodle style ones, that I really like.
They're soft and warm and so quick drying.
From George at Asda, no less.

Mine are white, but maybe a bath stone mat would work much better for you with your child's splashing. My mum has one and they're amazing. As soon as my mats need replacing I'm getting one.

Techno56 · 27/08/2024 17:32

Grey 😁

Aquamarine1029 · 27/08/2024 17:33

You could also use floor towels like they have in hotels. I have some and interchange with my mats. I really like them.

xxSideshowAuntSallyxx · 27/08/2024 17:33

Grey, deep red, and greeny blue/teal, and white (but the towels always get make up on no matter how much I wash my hands).

Littletreefrog · 27/08/2024 17:34

I have duck boards instead as got sick of soping wet bath mats. They have been a revelation.

NothingAGoodCuppaDoesntFix · 27/08/2024 17:36

On the off-chance that you're being serious, they're to stop a tiled floor getting covered in water as you get out of the bath or shower and then becoming a slip hazard.

The only way I could fathom they wouldn't be useful is if you have a bathroom carpet but that would be grim AF.

SleepyTraveller · 27/08/2024 17:43

Sage green

We’ve never owned a bath mat.

Cattery · 27/08/2024 17:46

One fluffy navy. One quick drying light blue bobbly one

That's... a bath mat but you just have lots of them.

EternallyDelighted · 27/08/2024 17:50

Teal bobbly one from Ikea, never looks dirty and dries quickly. We had a woven cotton one before and that got grubby very easily by comparison and took longer to dry.

Devilsmommy · 27/08/2024 17:51

Purple. I've got a magenta bathroom so no white bath mats here😁

rainbowsparkle28 · 27/08/2024 17:51

A darker ish pink and dark navy.

TooManyNiblings · 27/08/2024 17:52

Grey

BruFord · 27/08/2024 17:56

Green and blue. These colours match the decor and don’t show too much dirt. They do need regular washing though.

Somehow my teenagers still manage to get water on the floor though. 😂

Hilarious 🤣

BrieHugger · 27/08/2024 17:59

Used to have white but it needed boil washing and was a bugger to dry as it was heavy, decided to replace with dark green to match all the plants in there.
