How does someone who inflicted the damage she has on the lives of so many, with ‘solutions’ like the below considered to fix her mess, have the gall to show her face in public.

I know she’ll claim unfounded allegations, hatchet job etc but given how insane she appears to be, I’d put nothing past her. Kwarteng is clearly relishing the chance to stick the boot in whilst he can. What loyalty.

I remember years ago, when she was still in Education, I contributed to a quiz for my son’s school. We set famous Elizabeths as one of the rounds. Must have been at the time of some QE2 anniversary or other. I wanted to have a Liza Truss question, but was outvoted by the others I was doing the quiz with, as nobody had heard of her, she was a non-entity. I’ll get her somehow in a famous lettuces quiz round.

I think it was LT as well. There was a relationship dossier that was leaked (just looked quickly and found a Twitter reference to it in 2017) which was supposedly listing all of the various liaisons. Rudd and Truss in there with Kwarteng.

But can see lots of denials online.

She studied PPE at Oxford didn’t she? Surely she can’t be that stupid? I mean she gives a very good impression of someone who is stupid. I guess maybe she could cope with UG level academia and is just way out of her depth in the real world?

None of the people who get to such a position of power are stupid. They're skilled at something. They may not be intellectual dynamos, but stupid, no. And also, a lot (most) people who are not academic or good thinkers or whatever, are not reckless, wanton self-aggrandising power-hungry individuals. Just because your behaviour and decisions are slightly mad, it doesn't mean you're not smart. Smart people can do really stupid things.

Truss isn't the issue. The issue is that the Conservative Party membership were collectively stupid enough to put her in No 10 even though her claims were clearly fanciful. Happy the electors of SW Norfolk were wiser - at the last election.

She was late to the count, didn't wear a rosette and didn't make a speech - I think this is all because she didn't want memes about her.

But the really important point is that she'd be no one famous if it wasn't for the Tory Party.

There's something very vacant about her face that I can't quite put my finger on. The fact she hasn't slunk off somewhere to hide shows a total lack of self awareness and a complete inability to reflect on actions and consequences. I can't work out whether she's mad or bad.
She's a really odd character.

My close friend works for the civil service and works closely with all of the prime ministers. She said Boris was exactly as he came across in public, Rishi was actually OK and very hard working. Worst she has ever had to work with was Liz Truss. Absolutely loopy and regularly held ‘Fizz with Liz’ in her offices.

I read this and my jaw dropped. I can't imagine what sort of person would even think of this.

Because she was the Prime Minister and the buck ultimately stood with her, not her numbers man.
