Property Porn thread: "nice house within one mile of you"

This one is about half a mile from me. It has some lovely features although I would change the knobs in the kitchen ("knob overload" says my DD). I know it is next to the local train station but that wouldn't bother me. You are about half an hour from both Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling so really handy. All I need is to sell my house and find about £300,000 to £350,000. Looking between cushions on sofa for space change as I speak Grin.

I would go for this beauty. Although the front gets very shaded as there is a plot of land opposite with huge trees that has been subject to a planning battle for years. Still gorgeous though.

If we're being strict about the mile radius, this is by far the nicest house. Most of them for sale around me are back-to-backs or scrubby student houses.

If anyone has plenty of money though ( well 1.1 million) and is looking for a splendidly big house Bath villages- I'm covering this in Norton st Phillip- - Norton has 2 fab pubs, big co op and just a lovely village on a very good bus route- 13 minutes drive to Bath -

@ItWasnaMeGuv I know- I've got bookshelves that look like that!! Organised chaos. They have my taste too in the main- so would be an easy move ! Well if I had the cash- with a massive paddock too it's a lovely house for someone in a genuinely lovely village

Within a mile of me, the railway station and the city centre, with loads of green space, indoor swimming pool and you can see the sea.

This is just over a mile from me, there are more expensive house that don’t need renovating that are stunning but I’ve loved this house for years since I was little and I can’t explain why 😍

I would love this as long as I could sell the 5 acres of grazing land which would just be a load of hassle as far as I'm concerned. A postage stamp garden is all I want.

ooh that is a very cute house. I love the vibe. I recognise the parasol (I have the same!) and the tiles in the garden are a great idea - think will copy! Thanks for posting - this thread has become like my pintrest board!
