This one is about half a mile from me. It has some lovely features although I would change the knobs in the kitchen ("knob overload" says my DD). I know it is next to the local train station but that wouldn't bother me. You are about half an hour from both Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling so really handy. All I need is to sell my house and find about £300,000 to £350,000. Looking between cushions on sofa for space change as I speak .

The weather in the photos is deceptive (it's rained all day today in Biblical amounts) and there is of course the Ferry Issue. However, I'd never tire of that view.

This is a mile from me too. Isn't it lush?! Was on the market for £250 million a few years ago.

Just realised you can actually see my house on the blacked out bit of the agents aerial view ! ( on the housing estate not one of the posh ones ) The house for sale is lovely, and a hell of a lot cheaper than some of the others on here, the difference in prices across the U.K. is mind blowing. Just needs a good fettle and updates.

One of these is literally around the corner- sensible family house- to be honest not dissimilar the one we rent - so for me would be ideal - but sadly couldn't get the mortgage!'

the other is a vision in modern minimalism in a beautiful area maybe around a mile and a half away - as I have a very maximalist H I can only look in astonishment at such places

Hmm, looked and there's nothing I'd go for within a mile if either mine or dp's - probably because I have my boring practical head on as I've been looking for our next move by which time dp will be a wheelchair user and there are depressingly few properties that meet that need, and that's extending fhe search to the full 40 miles!!!
