Invariably we have a thread every year on requests for recommendations on a new pair of slippers . I haven't purchased mine yet , so if you have and love them , or getting new ones of much loved brands, tell us about them , take a pic to show off and share the love . Let's see them .

Oh, those sheepskin slippers and socks are making me feel claustrophobic - all that stuff wrapped around your feet, indoors!

Funny, isn't it - I'm the opposite, I feel all wrong if I've got nothing on my feet or draughty ankles (I'm a bit fan of legwarmers in the winter too). Even when it's hot, I won't walk around barefoot, I'll wear scuffs.

I don't like heating and don't use it much, just enough to keep the house ticking over when it's really cold.

Check out UK brand Maku, I have a silver pair but they do all sorts from off cuts, the popular ones can sell out quick. maku.uk/collections/slippers

My daughter bought these for me last Christmas. Hard soles. They need a clean but have lasted really well

I also have 2 pairs of fur lined crocs. You either croc or you don't 🤣🤣 I was dead against but I used to wear sliders at home. 2 winters ago my feet were freezing sitting at my desk wfh so I bought a pair. Amazingly comfortable and warm and great for nipping to bins and now I wear them to nip to shops and walk dogs! I've turned into an absolute scruff haha

Ooh I need new slippers! Does anyone have / recommend Ugg Tazmans? All my current slippers are very indoorsy and I could do with an indoor / outdoor pair.

For indoors only I always get the Helen Moore slippers boots, I think I'm on my 5th pair. So snuggly and they wear well even though they don't have a proper sole.

I have these, I'm on my third pair. It feels spendy but I do wear them around the house constantly and mine last probably 3 years at a time so it's not just a seasonal thing.

Jennalong · 29/08/2024 12:20

They arrived , nice I like them , but the sole feels a little slippy on carpets , but I shall keep them.

@TheMithrasDirective, what are scuffs?

I've got two pairs of slippers - a pair of short Ugg boots and a pair of mahabis.

Ive already had both for a couple of years, and hopefully they'll last for a few more.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 29/08/2024 12:30

You must all have non-sweaty non-smelling feet. I need machine washable slippers 😔

Princessfluffy · 29/08/2024 12:45

Yes I absolutely need machine washable slippers too.
Sainsburys are usually good for these but last winter I had M&S ones on an offer. M&S were worth the extra money I think.

lingmerth · 29/08/2024 13:42

Every year I have a pair of Next slippers for Christmas. They're same style as the Ugg ones posted above.(sorry don't know how to link)
They have them on all different colours and they cost about £20. Although I'm a size 5.5 I always have small as they stretch. I live in them at home so by now they're humming. I will limp on till Xmas and can't wait for my next pair!

I choose to believe that sheepskin is naturally deodorising 😄. And mine don't smell, honest.
