Lily Allen rehomed her dog because it chewed her passport

I've always disliked her!
She's complaining about the cost of replacement passports should she not have kept them safely tucked away?
And the kicker...she's about to buy a new puppy!
She was talking about this freely on the radio. Not even embarrassed!

It's the very best thing she could have done.

The dog had been with her for about 10 days - so at least it didn't have to suffer very long and could hopefully go on to lead a happy life. She clearly never wanted a dog, she wanted some kind of stuffed toy that never put a paw wrong even without supervision or training.

She's slamming the people who criticise her as all being Daily Mail readers and likening herself to a victim of racism!

As with the vile Paula Radcliffe, the "apology" actually makes it all worse!

Apparently poor Lily had a very distressing week what with people sending her mean messages! (Who will play her in the movie? Is Meryl Streep available?)

I wonder if it was more or less distressing than the experience the poor puppy has had being shipped from pillar to post?

Me and DH have had quite a few rescue dogs over the years and quite a few of them have been challenging. We never gave up on any of them though.

It’s not true. She has had a few rescue dogs. This one had a lot of issues and wasn’t settling at all. She has rehomed it with a friend. It’s a shame people don’t find out the full story before judging. I neither like nor dislike her, but this twisting of the facts annoys me.

You do know podcasts are edited right, so how do you know what was said at the time? You don't, but hey think of all the publicity that podcast is going to get........job well done as far as they are concerned.

And I would rather her give it back than hang on to it if she doesn't want it, that would be far more cruel IMO. I am guessing she didn't realise it wouldn't work until after she got the dog. So would you rather she keep it for 10 years until it dies even though she didn't want it?

It's cruel to take away a puppy from it's mother. It's also cruel on the mother to have her puppies taken away to be separated and given to humans. You ok with that though?

Rescue dogs have issues and anyone that doesn't realise that is an idiot. Good job her daughters didn't have any issues isn't it?

I’ve seen clips of her shared podcast through my Facebook newsfeed and having had no thought either way I do now find her pretty loathsome. She just comes across as so incredibly selfish. There’s another part of me hat knows she’s gone through some absolutely awful traumatic times though so feel kind of torn.

I'll ask you again...HOW MANY dogs should she be allowed to buy then re home?

she didn’t buy the dog it was a rescue that she returned to the rescue (and was then rehomed by them) when it became apparent that her family was not the right fit for the dog and they couldn’t meet the dogs needs. This is exactly what should happen in these circumstances and in no way means she should be banned from having another dog. Why you’re encouraging people to email her manager sarky messages about this is beyond me.

@AngryBird6122 sorry to disappoint you with your attempted "gotcha" but I disagree with humans purposefully breeding animals. I only ever rehome existing animals. I never buy from a breeder.

She shouldn't have got the damn dog in the first place if she couldn't deal with whatever needs it turned out to have! I'm starting to think quite a few people on here are hard of thinking.
