I would like to jog/run, but I've got poor feet at the moment and need to sort out appointment with a podiatrist 🙄 definitely in the future though!

Sounds fab! I practice yoga very casually but it's top of my list of things to start doing regularly. I've also not done any reading in ages so would love to get back into that

That sounds fun - you sound really talented. I can't even use a needle and thread haha! I wish I had learnt to swim when I was younger as I'm sure I'd love to go to unwind

To expand slightly I run with a group of mostly ladies of a certain age (40+) and most of us only took up running in the last few years. Also were pretty slow. We have a separate group for absolutely beginners and after about 8 weeks they run with the rest of us. Very accessible to non-runners and very sociable too. Get your feet sorted out and see what there is near you, almost certain to be a beginners group nearby

CharSiu · 24/08/2024 10:41

Belly dancing
Hiking
Tai Chi
Cycling
Gaming

I also read and sew a bit . Apparently gaming makes people deeply unattractive according to MN but I really enjoy it.

I'm writing a novel. Early stages and I don't know what I'm doing, but it is fun.

Rock Choir.

Collecting vintage brooches.

Family tree research.

That sounds far less intimidating compared to running by myself. I'll definitely see what's in my local area

Read. A LOT. Lego, but expensive. Started learning the piano 2 years ago, love it, I'm also in a choir, a fun one

ScottBakula · 24/08/2024 15:34

I can't tell you it would be outting 🤣

mynameiscalypso · 24/08/2024 15:39

Does sleeping count?

mondaytosunday · 24/08/2024 15:41

Crochet. I used to do wet felting but it's messy and you really need at least a four hour stretch.

LaSourciereEfrontee · 24/08/2024 15:56

I feel I don’t have much time between parenting teens, work and running a household, but I have recently made an effort to do more enjoyable things in my free time.

I enjoy:

Pilates and yoga classes (DD and I just started reformer Pilates)
Going with DC to the gym/driving range
Swimming (I try for twice a week)
Walking the dogs with DH and DC
Cooking and baking, reading about food, planning meals.
Reading about clothes and fashion
Village choir
Researching and planning holidays and travel
Listening to audiobooks and the radio
Reading
Visiting exhibitions and galleries
Theatre (DS loves it- a local show or London) and cinema
Meeting friends for days out/lunch

It’a nice to write these down- it looks like I do actually have hobbies!

Itsdare · 24/08/2024 16:02

Food blogging and photography.
I have started a book but I dropped off.

I'd love to play tennis and swim but I am recovering from an illness and even walking is hard.

I also enjoy you tube lifestyle channels and researching travel destinations and ideas.

Definitely would like to get back into reading too, and new music/film.
