I wish I could do something as cool as that for my boys. Great job! Hope your son appreciates it x

I'm sure you could . It's not for everyone though

Sorry i think that would inspire manic behaviour.

KerryBlues · 23/08/2024 22:25

It would be like climbing inside a kaleidoscope. Hardly conducive to a peaceful night's sleep.

Ds will love it. And that's what matters

Looks great! Some people like boring stuff and some people need the colour!

PinkChaires · 24/08/2024 01:28

My god mumsnet is truly nasty nasty place. I love the wall OP it looks fantastic

spamandeggs · 24/08/2024 03:05

It looks great OP but then I love the 80s and colours . Most houses look so prim and propar (ie totally boring and unoriginal ) nice to see some colour and uniqueness for a change :)

cookiebee · 24/08/2024 03:39

Now if it was unasked for, I’d say it was like the scene from the Simpsons where Homer builds Bart a bed “can’t sleep or the clowns will eat me” 😂. However you say your son will love it, it’s actually awesome, and has shown skill and love to do it, nice job!

It's great! How old is your son?
The people saying how will he sleep, most people sleep with their eyes closed so he wont see it at sleep time 😀

JoyousPinkPeer · 24/08/2024 04:16

Fabulous. Have you painted that or is it paper? Hope he appreciates your talent and work.

If DS really will love it and have normal sleep patterns, then well done, good on you.

OhBeAFineGuyKissMe · 24/08/2024 09:27

Would I do those colours for my my room - no, but I’m an adult. I don’t have Bob the builder duvet cover either.

Would my son at that age have loved it - oh yes.

Great work and looks skilfully done.

Fantastic effort but not for a bedroom unfortunately. Goes against the basics of creating a relaxing and neutral area to promote sleep and comfort. Could you transfer this to another room?

ClipTap · 24/08/2024 12:46

It makes me feel dizzy

But it's an interesting design

dudsville · 24/08/2024 12:48

That's amazing @Imnotbad !!! We really wanted to have an erratic orange line going through our entire house but lacked the ambition. LOVE what you're created.

No I can't it's paint . My kids like colour they don't want it boring and dull . It's a kids space that should be colourful and happy. Everything is to plain and dull in the world.

It does not effect their sleep at all . Lights of etc

Exactly... dd won't get into bed without her garishly bright themed bedding. Walls covered in octonauts posters. Doesn't seem to keep her awake.

Kids just aren't the same as grown ups!

Greytulips · 23/08/2024 19:02

Looks like a head ache.

Must admit it made me think of a migraine aura! Sorry. Hope your son loves it.

Mumoftwo1316 · 24/08/2024 12:55

I actually asked dd once if her life sized poster of Chase from paw patrol was scary at night with its (to me) manic leer and she was offended on his behalf. Children love bright stuff in their rooms

Thank you . And you should do it.

I wanted to do something a bit mad in my hall way. But im not sure if I should. I have it in my head I can do that upstairs but now downstairs
