Good morning from the train to London KX! Me and dd1 are off to All Points East this afternoon for Mitski, Suki Waterhouse, and Ethel Cain 🎵. Dd's quite chipper considering she went to bed at 2am after TV Girl's gig in Leeds last night! I, otoh, overslept & forgot something, and think I've overpacked again 🙈

Dd2's doing...something with their dad today but not sure what 🤷‍♀️

What about all of you? 🙂

(If anyone has suggestions for what to fill Monday in London with, I'd be greatful! We have no real plans except the V&A for the Taylor Swift exhibition!).

Enjoy London @lucysmam, nothing beats the city in summer. I’ve not been for a while so suspect my recommendations are out of date, but I know Broadway Market is still great for food!

Three carrots; two diced, one grated, two sticks of celery diced, two leeks diced, two potatoes diced. 300 gm of lentils. 2ltrs of hit stock made with two ham stock cubes and two chicken stock cubes. Chuck it in the slow cooker at low and stir occasionally. I usually start at high for an hour. I leave it for six hours

Heres another slow cooker one...

Buy a chicken you know will fit into the slow cooker. Unwrap it and put it straight in, dont mess about with it, just put it in. Put the lid on and cook on low for 8 hours or on high about 4 or 5 hours. When its done pour the liquid from the slow cooker into a pot, keep the chicken in it with the lid on. Heat up the stock liquid with some chicken gravy granules and a splash of milk until you get a nice gravy.

Thats it, you have a tasty cooked chicken and gravy for it, serve it however you like.

Its beyond easy...my kind of cooking lol

Here's another lazy one....put skinless chicken thighs into the slow cooker, pour a jar of sauce over it, can be anything you fancy, put lid on, cook all day on low or half a day on high.

Feeling quite sick at work today!! Luckily I have the office to myself so I can deep breathe loudly to get rid of the nausea 🤣

I'm waiting to hear from dd2 (20). She had a hip problem as a child which flared up again in her late teens and the only treatment is total hip replacement. She's been on the waiting list for 2 years and then got a call about a cancellation last Thursday. So today is the day!!

Can't settle to anything. I know she's an adult but she's still my baby girl!

Good morning @lucysmam ! I wasn't expecting to see you today. It sounds as if you have a very exciting day today!

I, on the other hand, have nothing planned for today. Daughter and toddler left this morning, which has made me very sad and I had a little weep (after she had gone obviously). I don't normally get so emotional but I'm not feeling particularly well at the moment. I had been hoping she wouldn't leave until tomorrow, but I quite understand why she did. And - to be honest - (and I'm quite sure she wouldn't mind me saying) it is also a bit of a relief. Toddler is very well behaved, for a toddler, but he IS a toddler and of course he loves to run around. Having the television on CBeebies ALL the time is very wearing. And having to think about meals when I'm not really wanting to eat proper meals at the moment is a bit of a strain.

DH has a minor op with local anaesthetic at the GP this afternoon, but nothing drastic.

I have just received a Peace Lily via flower delivery, as a thank you for some project work I have done, which is very nice and not at all expected. It does make me feel valued. I start my (3-day) working week tomorrow and I'm hoping that I can manage as before. My new meds make me feel really tired. I am very lucky in that, apart from meetings, if I need to I can go for a nap in the middle of the day if I pick up the extra hours later.

just get my kids to sleep after they had played their favourite game car parking multiplayer mod apk for almost like 2 hours,I know its crazy to let your kids be so long to be active on screen,but hey its sunday and they did their homework eariler.

Now I will watch my favourite movie Thor love and thunder while eating some popcorns.
