I post alot because I get lonely and I don't have anyone to talk to really. Most of the stuff I post is negative and stressful. So I'm going to try and turn it around and try my best to post mostly positive stuff. Even if it seems abit boring. Its about making things feel better and not let the bad stuff over power the good.

One of the things I feel super proud of is my my garden. I done it all completely on my own no man help. Just me on my own. It was done a couple of years ago . But I still feel proud so I'm sharing it .

Oh do piss off with the plastic grass comments, unless, you are vegan, don't have children, don't fly, don't drive a car and never use one time plastic bottles, otherwise, you are just a hypocrite.

If you do all of the above, then great, but still don't be so bloody 🤢

DorisDoesDoncaster · 17/08/2024 23:11

Fab. Well done! Looks marvellous!!

ILoveToCleanSaidNooneEver · 17/08/2024 23:19

Thank you . I done quite alot of research to make sure its pet friendly and no smells etc. And its Been totally fine. Oh no weeds growing through either.

Perhaps then you'd have time to come and weed my patio 😂 Bane of my life. Your garden is a beautiful neat tranquil space and you made it out of nothing. I love that.

Zippyyyyyy · 17/08/2024 23:50

What a fabulous space OP! I hope you are able to find some time to enjoy it.

Did you have fun doing it? The transformation is huge for a two week project 👏🏻

That's so good! I barely do anything in mine.. Great idea for a thread!

Gorgonemilezola · 18/08/2024 00:06

What a transformation - it must give you a great feeling of pride and satisfaction to sit in your lovely garden after all your work to get it looking so nice.

Can I ask, are you the poster who posts about housework? If so, I found your posts really motivating.

SunnyWavess · 18/08/2024 00:09

It looks amazing! 🤩

KeirSpoutsTwaddle · 18/08/2024 07:38

What’s impressive about you, OP, is your thoroughness and attention to detail. You don’t just have a stab at it, you thoroughly and completely overhaul with all the correct prep work.

I’m a bit of a project woman- I prefer a meaty job to fiddling about with daily maintenance. DH is the opposite. He’s inclined to return things to normal as fast as he can, and if that means skimping the job so he can rush on to the tidying up stage then so be it!

StMarieforme · 18/08/2024 09:34

Woollypullover · 17/08/2024 21:13

Plastic? That's a shame.

I just signed a petition to ban the use of plastic in place of plants!

That's your take on OP's clear push for much needed positivity?

Really?

LuluBlakey1 · 18/08/2024 09:36

It's the dreaded plastic grass- polluting the environment. Sorry OP- I think the stuff is awful.

I did actually I have this odd thing about doing what would be seen as a man thing. And I put it in my head I'm not allowed to ask a man for help 🤣. The hardest bit i think was using the wacker plate omg that was so heavy.

Thank you. Yes if I get something strongly in my head then I really go for it. But then I also go the other extreme and do have a bad habit of slap dashing the everyday things

You've turn an untidy mess into something lovely all by yourself. Your kids must be so proud of you.

frecklejuice · 18/08/2024 10:06

That is an amazing transformation! Well done op, I'd be useless at anything like that.
