Was a fizzy drink and I think had something to do with spring water and if I remember correctly had kangaroos boinging about on the advert
It's driving me mad trying to remember it

Rio Tropical?

I can’t remember a kangaroo ad though!

That's what I was thinking of. I was also picturing a panda , but that may be a false memory

TheinformationIsavailable · 11/08/2024 08:46

I wasn’t allowed um bongo apparently it was ‘common’ ! I was desperate for it I used to dream about it 😂😂😂

Robinsons used to do spring water fruit cans in the late 80s/90s.

TeamPolin · 11/08/2024 09:35

@FrancisSeaton I think you are referring to Citrus Spring. Was very nice!

TeamPolin · 11/08/2024 09:37

Also came in orange flavour

FrancisSeaton · 11/08/2024 09:57

Omg @queenmeadhbh that's it! Strangely enough I did think it might be citrus spring but I googled to see if there was a kangaroo advert but couldn't find it ! Thanks for finding it

Wasn’t me, alas! I was quoting the PP who found it!

Sidebeforeself · 11/08/2024 22:36

Sunny D and Um Bongo were not fizzy1

Horses7 · 12/08/2024 18:13

As pp posted a video with kangaroos advertising Citrus Spring I’m not sure it can be anything else.

Everyoneesleistheproblem · 12/08/2024 18:22

Oh wow just the mention of Quatro took me right back to summer at high school. Weirdest feeling. I would never have remembered that we had that drink but that was a visceral reaction!

jazzchilli · 12/08/2024 18:23

I remember the lime citrus spring and now I really want some…

81gal · 12/08/2024 18:25

It’s not Babysham you’re thinking of is it?😁

OonaStubbs · 12/08/2024 18:27

Babycham had an advert with a baby deer. I think it was banned for being too enticing for children.

There was also Hoffmeister lager with George the bear.

MaidOfSteel · 12/08/2024 18:42

I remember having a spring water based drink back in the 80s, but I think it was in a green can. Argh! The name escapes me.

They'd never get away with that image, these days.

You should see the French orangina ad!! I think the creatives were on something when they came up with this one!!!
