Is chocolate best at room temperature or from the fridge?

Just talking about your every day .I'll chocolate here. No caramels or anything like that?

I store in fridge in summer. Otherwise it’s liquid

The fridge ruins the chocolate, it leaves it brittle and with white streaks. I much prefer mine at room temperature even if it's warm.

Depends on the chocolate - Galaxy or chocolate buttons - from fridge.
Toblerone - from cupboard or it goes too hard and isn't pleasant.
Dairy milk I'm on the fence about.

The fridge at a push but ideally the freezer. I love hard ice cold chocolate.

I'm not a massive fan of chocolate but if I do take the notion for it I like things like Buttons, Twirl or Flake with thinner bits of chocolate and they have to be in the fridge. I hate soft, melty chocolate and how it feels in my mouth as it melts.

Chocolate and crisps in the fridge for me.

I only put it in the fridge if it's really warm but will leave to come to room temp before i eat it, tastes better.

Only British people put chocolate in the fridge! I had never come across this before I moved to England and I have this argument with DH all the time. It isn't meant to be eaten cold and it completely ruins the chocolate.

I have to put chocolate in the fridge as I can't swallow warm chocolate
I have swallow problems and I can't swallow warm chocolate as I feel the texture changes

I prefer my chocolate a bit bendy so room temperature (or ideally warmer in the winter)
