Northernlights100 · 07/08/2024 16:03

Room temperature unless that would cause it to melt

I store in fridge in summer. Otherwise it’s liquid

But to eat it? Straight from fridge or warmed up to room temperature?

Room temperature, though in the winter I like it all melty so I put it on the radiator occasionally.

chocolatemousse3 · 07/08/2024 16:13

The only fridge you can put your choco in, is a wine fridge. Any colder than that, you'll ruin the chocolate. But if temperature is below 26 degrees, room temperature, for sure.

LividCovid · 07/08/2024 16:24

Here with the freezer people 🙌

Custardandrhubarbcrumble · 07/08/2024 16:34

I can't taste it properly if it's cold.

Quacking4it · 07/08/2024 16:34

Fridge! Unless it's a frys chocolate cream then room temp. I feel like fridge chocolate is somehow healthier plus I like to suck it 😂.
I also like cold crisps and oatcakes...

Chocolate and crisps in the fridge for me.

Crisps! That's a new one on me Grin

Chocolate in the fridge - I don't like it gloopy! For the cooler 6 months of the year, our 'pantry room' keeps it the perfect temp, probably around 10 degrees.

EasilyDisturbed · 07/08/2024 16:46

Room temp, loses all its flavour if its cold

whaaat? crisps in the fridge?! you heathen you... 😂

Caspianberg · 07/08/2024 16:52

@llamajohn - straight from fridge to eat. I can’t be doing with waiting. I only eat the thin lindt, so it’s like thin shards

Greyrockin · 07/08/2024 16:55

I couldn't vote - I put chocolate in the fridge but have to admit that some choc taste better at room temperature. I'm also partial to a frozen twix.

Demelzatheredhaired · 07/08/2024 16:56

Depends a lot on the temperature of your room. 18’ is nicer than 4’ from the fridge. 25´ is too soft. 35’ is a puddle…

StasisMom · 07/08/2024 16:57

Fridge better for me as I chomp less in one go... Have it with a nuclear coffee to melt it.

CheatingMenz · 07/08/2024 16:58

Room temperature. I hate it from the fridge which reduces the flavour and you don't get that lovely melt 8n the mouth when it's too cold.

SleepingisanArt · 07/08/2024 16:58

Room temperature (but not if room temperature is 30°+) because the flavour is dampened by the cold. (It's like people saying white wine has no flavour when they drink it from their 4° fridge - it should be served between 8 and 10° so that you can actually taste the grapes.)

qotsa · 07/08/2024 17:00

It's a meter of opinion. Half and half in this house. Room temperature for me.

qotsa · 07/08/2024 17:00

*matter

AlarminglyAwful · 07/08/2024 17:02

DH is a fridge man.

I’m a ‘leave it somewhere warm until it’s on the verge of melting’ woman.

theredspindletree · 07/08/2024 17:03

Everything in the fridge - I find chocolate at room temp very sickly

BuggeryBumFlaps · 07/08/2024 17:04

Fridge

Bonjovispjs · 07/08/2024 17:06

Fridge, cold chocolate is lovely and I've never noticed any reduction in flavour.

BloodyHellBob · 07/08/2024 17:06

@loropianalover I am fascinated by crisps in a fridge! I need to know more! Is there a specific flavour that is best refrigerated?

I prefer chocolate at room temp except Crunchie as it needs to be cold and then dunked in coffee and sucked...not something to do in polite company to be honest Grin
