Oh my......my DDs offices closed today because of warned civil unrest and unbelievable and so wonderful to see 1,500 anti racism people gathered... all very peaceful. Lots of placards including 'Grannies against Facism' , and 'Our City of Sanctuary' and many more.

I think the blubbing rioters didn't dare show their faces.

It's brilliant to see the huge number of counter-protests tonight. So far it seems quiet in my area plus there's rain forecast tomorrow so fingers crossed things quieten down.

It looks like she made it up. If so, she is in serious shit.

Her post was deleted an hour after it appeared but by then the false information was widely repeated by far-right social media activists such as Tommy Robinson and Andrew Tate.

It is also believed to have been used as a source for an article published by the Russian-linked Channel 3 Now website which was extensively retweeted.

That is the website loads of Mumsnetters linked to.

Nothing much is happening here, shops are shut and there's a large police presence but nothing is actually happening. Let's hope it stays that way.
